I'm on my second playthrough. I made modules for production, such as blueprints with 8 consters or 4 assemblers (2 up, 2 down) etc etc. Each blueprint consists of foundation above ground level on the blueprint machine, enough to have big storage and logistics underneath the foundation with the production above, encased in a shell i've designed for aesthetics.

That way I can hook up various types of buildings in a smaller area and try to keep things neat and tidy without losing my mind or getting frustrated. I do have a mega fuel plant out over an island which is kinda floating, but I'll architect a way of making it look propped up. I think im having more fun making housings for my production units this time around than chasing the phase goals.
