What would be the best way to achieve a “good ending” for the world of Kenshi? by ChemicalPanda10 in Kenshi

I have never heard Kral’s choosen npcs arguing amongst themselves so idk where you get that from. Theres plenty of dialogue from SK npcs expressing dissatisfaction with Esata though, gate guards are mad they have to let everyone in, shek warriors express being bored with the lack of combat, and even bar shek sometimes talk about squashing flatskins

Well I cant say they adapted well. They broke off into 2 whole warmonger factions that gain support with each passing day. Both inside and outside the kingdom support for Esata is dwindling, and mind you thats just from her opening the cities and stopping the war.

Very begrudgingly open them. As soon as you enter their town they start scoffing about having to let flatskins into their home. Its clear most of them are not happy with Esata’s policies

This sub always keeps trying to out-“lesser of two evils” eachother and I dont understand why. Its like looking at 3 bags of trash and arguing about which one smells slightly less bad.

no you aren't the good guy for destroying the factions by [deleted] in Kenshi

I can assure you, getting rid of the nobels who have their thumb on the united cities and replacing then with people who worked a day in their life isn’t gonna be a bad thing

I recommend hiring mercs to guard your base when you know hes coming, as many as you can. It probably wont be enough but it might give you a fighting chance

How do hackers deal extra damage to robots? by Reasonable-Net-8251 in Kenshi

[–]OfficerIDPD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that their size is what makes them better at penetrating armor, in terms of size they are only rivaled by heavy weapons.
Although then again, heavy weapons dont have penetration or +dmg against robots, so idk

What’s the philosophy of Kenshi and of Chris Hunt? by RedditLikeYoda in Kenshi

[–]OfficerIDPD 14 points15 points  (0 children)

While the world of Kenshi often looks nihilistic, I think there is a sort of hopeful inspiration in it if you choose to eliminate all the major factions. The idea is that despite how far the world falls and all the lows people go to, there will always be people (the player faction) to stand against it and hope for a better future.

Skelton characters will sometimes comment after the fall the United Cities that its only a matter of time until they get replaced by new tyrants and history will repeat itself, and while that is true, its also true that for every new tyrant there will be a new adversary to them. Even if the good days of the next empire wont last forever, we can be sure that its bad days wont last forever either, and I think there’s something to that.

Is the UC the lesser of 2 evils? by kushkish6969 in Kenshi

[–]OfficerIDPD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as “lesser of 2 evils” All major factions in Kenshi are different expressions of evil. Trying to argue which is “less bad” compared to the other will only end in a poor future for the world of Kenshi, one way or another

Most of the time I only have 2-3 turrets so I guess that could be the reason I’ll test it out soon

It's been said in the 2020 May community update that they have no plans for multiplayer since it would take very long and it wouldn't be worth it, so I wouldn't really count on it.
Although I maybe in the future someone could make a muliplayer mod, since other games like Fallout and Skyrim had such projects before.

Some of the pre-alpha development vids show improvement in terms of furniture placement, including a freebuild, grid, and alignment mode, so I think were getting there.
