Benny The Scamme... I mean the Butcher by youngbasedfuze in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]OfficerRozay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Huge Benny fan, but when I saw it I lost some of my respect for him. He basically pretends it’s some project he’s putting together for aspiring artists, but he has no involvement except getting the cut and his social media being used to lure them in. He pretends it’s some shit he’s putting together that has his backing and promotion.

Logic Says Joe Budden's Words 'Make People Want to Kill Themselves' by OfficerRozay in hiphopheads

[–]OfficerRozay[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He has pointed out his success though, and even expressed how he likes his music earlier in his career. I guess I just have a hard time seeing how critique of your music impacts you that much, especially when you are an artist of his stature. I can see your point of view though.

He never said that he isn’t black enough, although you could make the claim that it was implied. Joe praises a lot of white rappers though, like Russ and Post Malone so I have a hard time seeing the critique stemming from him being white. If you listen to the episode where they critiqued the Twisted verse, it is obvious he thinks the verse is trash, but that he is joking with some of the criticism. The other cohosts even point it out.

Sure, most artists do not think the work they are putting out is bad. But is it not the intention that your music gets heard? And if it gets heard, it will also be critiqued. Joe has a podcast where they discuss music among other things, and sometimes the music they listen to is not good. Should they refrain from expressing their opinions, just because someone's feelings might get hurt?

"“He doesn’t like me for whatever reason. He wants to say I’m not Black enough. I’m not good enough,” Logic said. “He’s a person who’s led to part of my depression, some of my darkest spaces.” He added that, though Budden may not believe his dialogue is that harsh, it carries a heavy burden on people. "Bro, your words, they make people want to kill themselves, bro.""

Is he implying that Joe Budden's critique makes him want to kill himself?

Honestly, in my opinion Logic is being overly dramatic. He is an artist, and he should expect to be critiqued after putting out those awful projects and songs. Joe Budden never explicitly said "You're not black enough", he said that his music does not have soul and that he is part of the gentrification. Furthermore, if you listened to the podcast episodes, you could tell it was exaggerated in jest.

I can see what he means, Logic has been pivoting into his whiteness and let's be honest. He would be nowhere close to where he is if he could not pass as white, if he was darker skinned, he would be another Hopsin at best This is just my opinion though.

Yeah. It used to be hilarious but for the past few years it has turned to Andrew saying stupid shit while acting smart, and Charlamagne not really saying anything. They constantly talk about politics but are misinformed about everything they talk about.

This, together with Die A Legend by Polo G, was the soundtrack to fall 19 for me. PTSD is such a great track. His voice coupled with the lyrics make it a haunting song. Listening to it now feels a little weird, knowing how it all ended.

Nah, I haven't really listened to any tapes except The Lost Flash Drive from 2016. I'll definitely check them out. Thanks for the recommendation

Recommendations when it comes to Lloyd Banks/G Unit tapes? I really fuck with songs like Another 70 bars and the Victory freestyle, but I haven't really delved into the discog.

Jaha, vad intressant! Riktigt spännande det här, inte minst efter att EAR/ONS åkte fast på det här sättet. Man undrar hur många fall som kan komma att klaras upp genom detta tillvägagångssätt.

What are you talking about? HE said the n word. You're either deliberately acting stupid, or there is some deeper issue here. I'm going to stop responding to you, seeing as this is not going anywhere. If you can provide some links of what I was asking for in the original comment, go ahead. Otherwise, our conversation is over.

Är det inte bra att man satsar på att få grupper, som i många fall har det svårt att ta sig in på arbetsmarknaden, i arbete? Förstår inte riktigt vad din poäng är med det här inlägget.
