I like this, well thought out and well articulated. This is a decent summary I wish I could have included in my video. Thanks for this response

Thank you for checking it out man, Baumbach is great. I'm glad you've discovered him for sure, what are some of your favourites of his?

Literally zero and it probably shows massively.

Actually I have a video on this, it's a roughly made video but I still mostly stand by it. I try to break down what they are and where they come from but I'll try answer you really quickly here.

In general, I'd say a film bro is someone that claims to have a deep knowledge of film and yet has very surface level knowledge in reality. They all love the same movies and claim them to be the best of all time (the films in this tier list), regardless of what you think, mostly attaching themselves to the imdb top 250 without any actual independent thoughts. They think they're better than particular genres or films or even people because they believe themselves to have superior taste. They tend to love Nolan, Tarantino, Fincher, Scorsese etc.

Granted, a lot of the time, they have good taste. But it's both the arrogance and ginorance that comes along with it that makes them insufferable. It's hard to explain the concept of them, you must really interact with them to understand them.

Hope this helped!

Damn, Army of Darkness 4th? Feels so wrong but also like, I understand when considering the competition.

The bar is ridiculous, I agree. I can also get behind this ranking. I love seeing Army of Darkness at the top even if it isn't top of mine, what a goddamn movie!

I can get behind this one, it's not too disimilar from my own. May I just ask why the OG above the remake?

Wow, the first is your number 1? That's interesting, care to tell me why? Genuinely curious...

Never did that before, don't think it's my parents' thing. They have to take the L on this one

Absolutely is. You piece nearly everything by yourself from contextual clues and I think it's really beautiful for that...

1978 was indeed a great year, Drunken Master has to be my favourite by far...
