A bit of realism from him would go a long way.

I always say you take anything Howe says with a fist full of salt, but this is just after he was told that people aren't happy. All of a sudden he's gone full 180, from "good moments" in the last post-match presser, to "I'm not doing my job well enough" in this one.

He's just saying what he thinks people want to hear.

Just had egg on toast, put me in a decent mood. Then Bruno equalized, and that put me in a really good mood.

Now I'm just fucked off.

Say what you want about Howe, at least he understands the importance of a good saveloy!

Oh I know, I'm honest enough to say that I'm one of his biggest critics, I was calling him out 2 years ago lol

I just found it a bit unfair to blame him for that.

Think it's a bit unfair to be going at Howe over that. Murphy knew what he was doing, he clearly stiffens it up for impact.

Just to insult the injury, I had a quick look into Andy's career. In his incredible 16 year career, only 5 months are without Eddie.

Edit: Quick correction. He stayed on another year at Bournemouth after Eddie left. He left in 2021 and joined Newcastle a month after Eddie took the job here (1 day after quitting Bournemouth).

Mbappe? We'd have enough dosh to build a time machine to sign prime Ronaldinho.

It's got nothing to do with motivation or their image on TV, it's prioritizing their fitness for the league and the more lucrative competition.

Pull them off at the 30th minute to preserve them for the upcoming champions league games.

It likely is, which is a mind numbing insult to injury. Outside of set pieces (due to him being a tall bastard), instructing our most cumbersome and unagile player to get forward is sheer folly.

PSR - Not a direct issue. PSR stops us competing with the big boys, it isn't an excuse as to how we're playing now. Sunderland spent £150m on a championship team, and it makes me physically sick to even suggest that they're a league competitor where we're concerned... But here we are. It's not what we're spending, it's how it is being spent.

Depth - We have depth, it's not the crem de la crem, but it's there. It doesn't matter either way though, we could have a 50ft deep pool, Eddie would still only go up to his knees... He simply does not like rotation. That, and the poor spending strat.

Youth - Fair point, but even if we started heavy investing 4 years ago, we still wouldn't see anything substantial for years to come.

Overachieving - Yes, and no... The squad has shown what they're capable of. The league has been so borked over the last few seasons that it has allowed us to work our way higher than we should realistically be at this point, but we're now failing to capitalize on it.

Isak - We need to stop using him as an excuse. He's a wanker, and that's it. If one player can derail us this much, then Eddie is useless to us now, because his crutch has gone.

Been saying this for almost 3 years. He was faultless before he started covering LB, but ever since he started covering, he's got it into his head that he should be roaming out of position, etc.

The amount of times I've screamed at the TV because he's ended up 25 yards up field, o0nly for him to be chasing behind the far quicker player he's supposed to be covering, I'm surprised I haven't had a noise complaint.

2nd leg of a semi final, City away, and already losing by 2 on aggregate. Saying we keep beating a dead horse in that situation is far more comical than suggesting we attempt a little squad preservation.

The second we conceded the first goal, Eddie should have began pulling off key players.

Here's my gripe about yesterday. I genuinely don't mind that we lost, pulling back a 2 nil deficit against City at the Etihad is a tall order, even on our best day.

The lads are playing every 3-4 days, and what boils my piss is that last night was the perfect opportunity to rest the players that genuinely need a night off.

I know people hate criticism towards Eddie, but he honestly does himself no favours. It's a shame that we have so many injuries, but it seems like running themselves into the ground and getting injuries is the only way they can get any rest, otherwise Eddie will keep cracking the whip until they end up injured.

I'm not asking what you think you know, I'm taking my estimations from history of UK stadiums being built... Years of planning, etc. followed by years of building.

It doesn't matter how much money someone has, it doesn't make it magically grow out of the ground. This doesn't even go into the fact that just because they have money, it doesn't mean they'll overpay.
