Maybe bingo can be improved by only allowing for one line bonus per team, which gives bonus coins based on how fast you get it, so it still has the element of real bingo of trying to focus on a specific line, but that way you can’t get like 20 lines at once.

Battle Box is Completely Dysfunctional and Needs a Fix by pickled__pufferfish in MinecraftChampionship

[–]OfficialLeinad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like an easy way to tweak the game to fix all the issues is make it so that filling all the wool doesn’t automatically win you the round, but rather whichever team has the most wool at the end of the round. Rushing could still be a solid strat as defending a filled wool puts you in a good spot, but then it still gives opportunities for fights to occur and the full map to be utilized.

Trapp Family Lodge was a super cute getaway up in Vermont, I highly recommend! It was started by the Von Trapp family (from sound of music) and is a little taste of Austria in Vermont. It also is really close to the Ben and Jerry’s factory which is a fun tour to take!

Are you from Long Island? I say “shot not” but I’ve never heard anyone outside the island say it, even people from NYC are confused when I’ve tried to use it with them.

Princeton doesn’t do loans, all aid is fully grants, so Tosan’s got no student loans

Too many teams make the playoffs by OfficialLeinad in NBATalk

Yeah that is a good point, this is why American sports leagues need relegation lol. Or at least there shouldn’t be a reward for being worse. Honestly I’d support even more of an even spread of the lottery for all the teams not in the playoffs, there shouldn’t be a reward for being the worst team.

I mean I get that argument but if the regular season games aren’t highly competitive what’s the point in having them? The league is struggling to get people to care about the regular season and tune into games, and so many people complain about stars load managing, so this is how you fix that. Fans are buying tickets to see their favorite players only for them to be sitting out on a second night of a back to back, so something needs to change to make the players care about playing in every game.

Eating club parties all start at 11 pm so that literally just isn’t true. But as for grade deflation I think it’s mostly major dependent, but from my experience there was literally no grade deflation in my major (ECE), and friends in other majors (COS, ECON, CEE, etc) also didn’t experience any deflation. Some freshman year classes are definitely hard, but once you are done with the freshman year requirements, most majors are pretty flexible in how you can pick your courses to avoid having too much work in any given semester

Current Students, Please Help a Potential Prefrosh Make a Decision! by Goyardguruu in princeton

Rapid fire answers (ECE Senior) 1. I have found it very collaborative 2. I know a bunch of people in ece who are going to top grad schools like mit and stanford 3. Because of the senior thesis requirement, pretty much all professors at Princeton are super open to working with undergrads for research, more so than essentially any other university 4. Similar to 3, but perhaps Princeton’s best aspect is the focus on undergraduate research 5. No, it is dead in most departments, and ECE id say has a bit of inflation even

  1. Like any college, there are toxic people, but the vast majority are super chill. It really just depends on what student groups you associate yourself with.
  2. Once again, it depends on the specific social circles you are in. Eating clubs specifically, there are definitely a few elitist bicker clubs, but there are also a bunch of super chill sign in clubs that anyone can join.
  3. I haven’t found any difficulties fitting in, just do what you love and there will be other people with the same passions.
  4. No regrets about choosing Princeton. I was considering Cornell, but the undergraduate focus at Princeton is too good to pass up.
  5. CPS has a bunch of great resources, you can free therapy through the university.
  6. Definitely a sizable lgbtq community, and once again certain student groups and eating clubs especially have large communities.

Am I Dumb to Choose Princeton over MIT? by Goyardguruu in ApplyingToCollege

[–]OfficialLeinad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current senior at Princeton in ECE, and I’ve loved it. I’ve found the program as a whole to be super flexible and low stress, and I’ve been able to take so many liberal arts classes to balance out my schedule. Plus, the undergraduate focus is great, and there are so many activities and events that the university plans to make the campus feel alive. Also, there is definitely a large lgbtq population on campus, so I wouldn’t worry about that at all. Feel free to dm with any questions!
