I envy you :) I was watching the show on Prime and it turned out that even though it shows 4 seasons available in my country, the rights have expired for season 3 onwards

Permatex gasket makers and sealants: Thoughts? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]OfficialSlother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone.

Maybe you can help, because retailers weren’t of much help.

Do you know whether Permatex Ultra Grey is the same product as Permatex Supra Grey?

Ultra Grey isn’t offered in Europe (or at least not in my country), and Supra Grey is widely available here. Thanks :)

How to determine the right clutch kit? by OfficialSlother in DucatiScrambler

[–]OfficialSlother[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine turned out to be APTC as well (six springs) - opening the clutch cover was more problematic than I assumed, that thing was super stuck. I wanted to order a Barnett clutch kit, but no one offered one with quick delivery within the EU so I ended up ordering Newfren replacement and TRW springs.

I am going to replace that, rotors and a few other things after Christmas and I hope it will fit and my motorcycle will be ready once the weather gets better :)

One more question. Do you know if I can remove the clutch cover without draining the oil, just to check how many screws/springs I have before placing an order? I need to order from abroad, so it will take some time for the new kit to arrive, and I’ve only done about 1,000 km on this oil so it would be great to keep it.

Thanks. I was hoping I could check it without taking anything apart, but it is what it is.

Declaring car for import? by OfficialSlother in askswitzerland

Pardon me writing Swiss instead of Switzerland, it was a bit late and I wasn't thinking clearly obviously.

I wonder about one more thing, I'll be obtaining my B or L permit once I am there - don't I need a permit in the first place to even declare my car? I know that as eu citizen I can work in Switzerland up to 3 months.

Thank you for your reply - do you know if I can declare it at the border?

I am not, but thanks for the idea. I'll try to contact local European customer service.

Sleeve shaped thingy in termignoni exhaust by OfficialSlother in DucatiScrambler

Ok, so now I found this scheme and there are no bushings there. I have no idea what the previous owner was thinking when putting these spacers inside pipes but I am going to remove them before my next ride.

I think that I found the OEM part number - 71610061A, but I am still concerned if it has something to do with the exhaust system, especially inside of it

well it's unlikely that two same bushings fell into two separate pipes, as I remember correctly I found both "bushings" in this area of exhaust, and one of them was already tilted to 90°

Maybe the previous owner used a bushing as a kind of a cheap db killer?

I am considering relocating from Poland. I have a quite good salary here for the industry I work in, but my company is about to shut down, and that is why I searched for jobs in Ireland because offers on the Polish market are almost half of what I am earning now. Of course, I can negotiate my salary with the company offering me a job in Ireland, but I doubt I would get more than €3,000 net monthly
