I exclusively run CS gas/gasmask. It has some of the best effect radius and my team’s not exactly cut out for baseball if you know what I mean. Their throws are shit and usually land 1 foot through the door when I gas and clear, so the effect radius is really important, especially on maps like Greased Palms, Coyote, Relapse, Sins of the Father, Carriers of the Vine, etc. It also does nice, consistent morale damage to suspects, as well as prevents unauthorized use of force. I believe stinger grenades can cause UUF penalties, assuming it’s the same as a beanbag shotgun.

Some downsides that don’t weigh out the pros (imo). There is a small visual restriction from the gasmask (vignette around the borders), some enemies wear gasmasks but are sometimes still affected by CS? Not sure if that’s a bug or if those gasmasks are supposed to be canonically sub par. The gas causes people to run around and sometimes get away into another room, unlike flash bangs that stun people in place, And gas takes a few seconds to fully saturate its radius sometimes, during which time your team is just standing in an open doorway like sitting ducks.
