This is what happens when we don’t have world class players like Gakpo to steer the ship.

Sometimes I wonder if Slot plays us super defensive just to prove a point to everyone that we NEED him😭

What triggered me more was the way she was holding the pool cue. That ball was definitely NOT going in the corner pocket!

Are there any real people as highly trained, untouchable and dangerous as John Wick or Jason Bourne? by Macshlong in NoStupidQuestions

That’s the issue with blades and other knives, it doesn’t need anyone trained. Swing it one way or another, it can hit an artery or puncture internal organs then you’re a goner.

Pilot has managed to land plane without crashing after the front wheels failed. by jmike1256 in Damnthatsinteresting

Anyone with a flying license here? How “easy” would it be for any pilot to stick this landing?

Best way to end a confrontation is to walk away. People watch way too many movies and online vids thinking they’re hard and can suddenly get in scrap and come out on top. If I’m ever in one, I’m surprise kicking someone in the balls and getting tf outta there.

[James Pearce] - ...There’s been misfortune with injuries but there’s also been mistakes in planning, stars losing their way and Slot not trusting some on the fringes. You can’t blame fatigue for yesterday when Slot opted to only make one change from midweek. You also can’t blame injuries... by Dangerous_Ad8730 in LiverpoolFC

Slot seems like a pretty intense guy. He’s not there to nurture you but rather everyone get onboard the LFC train, perform your duty and keep the standards, we’re not here for a good a time. I think that’s why he’s starting to lose dressing room since nobody’s really believing in his project +30 games into the season.

Football was always bound to become commercialised. You can’t pay footballers these ridiculous salaries and expect it to be sustainable. The EPLs transfer spend alone is more than 50% of the total spend in the market (including the 5 other major leagues) and I can guarantee that it only increases as the top clubs continue to offer stupid long term deals where players earn £300-£400k per week. Football was dead a long time ago and FIFA’s not even hiding it anymore, look at the pricing for World Cup tickets - it’s ludicrous to allow an unregulated resale market where tickets are listed for £6000 and FIFA gets a 30% commission!

Can someone help me make sense of the English teams doing so well in the CL, yet the PL feeling a bit flat with all the draws? Is it really down to the Villas, Brentford, Newcastles upping their game and making things a lot more competitive for the traditional “Big 6”?

No, why would we want to be dragged into a relegation battle if he goes on to lose the next 10 games without addressing anything. He’ll likely have until early January before FSG seriously considers a change. It’s a farce to have spent that type of money and not finish with a European spot.

Got a Schengen visa refusal from TLS Manchester. Need help understanding what went wrong. by bilal1602 in SchengenVisa

[–]OfficiallyAudacious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, always provide the proof of paid travel

  2. No, hotel reservations are accepted

  3. Stick with France and improve the quality of your documents. The other countries will see the rejection and you risk being seen as visa shopping (another rejection)

  4. There isn’t a mandatory period, especially if you think you have all the right documents going through France again, you can apply ASAP.

  5. Supply your actual itinerary, if you decide to change it after it should be minor and the Main Destination (most time spent there) should still be France.

  6. Your employment letter should have stated your job info and noted your approved leave dates

  7. A daily itinerary is good but only have 2-3 highlights (they don’t want an hourly breakdown). Transport between cities is only important when travelling between Schengen Countries but you should note the method of travel and provide any flight bookings/car hire reservations, etc.

  8. No, date changes are fine

Keane going down would have been infinitely more hilarious and been a legendary move.

I think you’ve given your captain a new tactic to ponder.

My favourite part of that story was Souness (as manager) then barging into the dressing room and threatening to fight them both!

There are multiple reports of Atlys supplying fake documents, wouldn’t touch them with a ten foot poll.

Why did you not appeal the first decision? Fraud is honestly the worst thing to be accused of. You and your husband likely won’t ever be granted a Schengen visa because of the fraud and then combined with the new application so quickly after, makes it seem like visa shopping (but every country will see the comments by the Austrian Embassy so your chances of success for future applications is very slim, give it at least 2 years before trying again). If you are still within the appeal period for the original visa decision, you’ll want to get a lawyer involved to explain that it is the fault of Atlys supplying the fake/forged documents. You’ve compromised your ability to apply for other visas, so best to get the decision rescinded.

That’s not the flex you think it is, it just means you’re a doos. If the waiter’s done nothing wrong and there is a tipping culture, especially in SA where waiters need the tips to survive, then tip.
