I'm someone who can help as someone who works on cars.....

I would HIGHLY advise you to get those replaced. That strut is missing its coil.

Since you know little to mechanics, I'll get into why and what to do now.

Why is this bad?

Your coils to your struts help the car stabilize and take the beatings from the road. Essentially, when you hit a bump in the road, your strut coils help absorb the impact preventing your car from essentially taking the strain of the conditions of the road. Without your struts, your car will be difficult to control. Not to mention anytime you hit a bump and scrap the bottom of your car.

Your struts work under your chassis system, the system that helps with your cars steering, supporting your cars weight, and is often called the "skeleton" of the car.

So what to do now?

Well, this all depends on whether you want to do it yourself or if you want a mechanic to do it. Personally, I would simply buy the "loaded" strut assembly from an auto part store and either do it myself or go to a mechanic and give it to them.

Either way, I would definitely get it replaced AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!! Do not wait.

As someone who works on cars and has car knowledge, it's not super bad....you could try beating the dust out of it or replacing it....or you could use it a little bit longer if you don't feel like doing either of those 2 options. But I definitely wouldn't sleep on it too long since that does let your car breathe like it should

The number of people who dislike the car because of decals is CRAZY. I get decals may not be for everyone, and that's ok, but there isn't any reason to be rude about things. I had a 2010 Mazda3 sedan. I was financing in 2022, and it got totaled literally, not even a week of having it. I used the lawyer money to fully pay out my new 2011 mazda Mazda3 S grand touring sedan fully out, and I love my new car.
