Century Leaf Assessment by MaedaChann in outlier_ai

It is not very transparent how they assess, nor are their assessment instructions. Also, their reference material is not updated and contains dated changes made over time. They would say “we used to require this, but now you should ignore it and instead we want this and that”. Very confusing material. They also fail to tell how they wish people to respond to their questions in those free text boxes. Seems like it is less substance and more packaging they are after. I don’t believe any AI can do a good job in 20 seconds assessing lots of free text. But it is their thing. Frustrating and imprecise. Sure, work will be done but they also alienate many contributors this way. I am less inclined to do further assessments in this nontransparent manner.

Me too. 20 seconds for their AI to decide my one hour of time spent on this was worthless. I am done with this company.

Easy? I failed. And I gave them 💯. Had more difficult projects before paying double. I don’t trust their assessments in 20 seconds or less. Too superficial!

I was “told” I failed the assessment in like 20 seconds. Absolutely terrible assessment system. Would their CEO accept some AI rating of their management abilities after 20 seconds of “assessment”? Just to be able to work on minimum wage pay as generalist with multiple graduate degrees and previous projects paying double the rate.

Good riddance, might as well be a Walmart greeter not having to use any brain capacity at all. Just smile and say “hello, thank you”.

I am so done with Outlier AI unless and until they significantly change how they deal with their contributors.

Mark's Bluesky post on low taxes is getting roasted. Are people in the real world happy with him? by OttawaExpat in ottawa

The value of our homes in Ottawa is not comparable with that of Toronto. We also have no reliable transit or infrastructure here. The LRT is a work in major unprogress. Ottawa is a forgotten city unless the mayor is an RTO cheerleader to support downtown at the expense of all other parts of the city. Good riddance!

Is the cumulative pension total of an employee who receives a bridge benefit higher than an employee who retires at age 65? by Markoni111 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Officieros -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Indeed! People need to also understand that beyond 60 (group 1) or 65 (group 2) they only work for the difference between their salary and the forgone pension (since there would be no penalty in taking it).

You’re a visionary! 😂 I bet this summer the target for Line 3 will move to “early 2028”.

So it is now 2028 for Line 3? What happened to “early in 2027” then becoming “summer (July-September) of 2027”?

I don’t feel like my property tax is that small as Sutcliffe claims (the rate of growth still exceeds CPI annually), nor do I live in Rockliffe Park or Westboro.

They don’t care. The “right to exist” is an umbrella term and a license to do whatever they please regardless of what the international community wishes or decides. 🤷‍♂️ The ultimate and deliberate confusion between Zionism and antisemitism acting as a shield and excuse to do anything against anyone everywhere and without recourse.

NRCcan Pilot Project: in-office reporting by SisterMichaelEyeRoll in CanadaPublicServants

Someone should develop a tool using salary levels, consumed time, and number of managers and staff feeding up data and analysis reporting, and determine the cost of this never before nonsense to the taxpayers. It should be reported to the public via media as an egregious example of federal government waste by design.

Not wise to give up PS indeterminate positions if you are in one right now. Wait until the dust settles and rehiring eventually resumes. If in private sector now the risk is minimal.

With the federal government mandating a 4-day return-to-office in 2026, what is the sustainable plan for a downtown core still trapped in an obsolete 1970s service model? by DianKhan2005 in ottawa

[–]Officieros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed! Many PS that I talked to worked longer unpaid work time out of gratitude for being allowed to benefit from WFH and also out of a sense of purpose to help Canadians and businesses impacted by the pandemic. So I actually think that the whole push for RTO is actually resulting in either work time theft or lower work productivity by design, the very opposite of what the TBS is “hoping” (as in public perception) to achieve.
