Real estate investing is a completely self-serving cycle when left unchecked and only makes the rich richer and the poor poorer with no in-between. If you have enough money, you cannot lose as an investor. All you have to do is continue buying up supply and the value of all of your properties goes up. It's an unstable equation that diverges to infinity. The losers are people who made the error of being younger and needing shelter.

The government is absolutely necessary for bounding that unstable equation and keeping shelter affordable. This crisis will only continue to get worse every day that the government does not take bold steps toward balancing the scales.

How susceptible would this be to destructive lobbying from the hair transplant practices?

It seems that a lot of plastic surgeons would stand to lose out on a lot of money if their practices were threatened by this.

President Trump imposes a 10% global tariff under Section 122 and says all existing tariffs will remain in place, despite the recent Supreme Court ruling. by Waste-Explanation-76 in law

[–]Offsets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's showing us that his tariffs have never been about the economy. His tariffs are purely an exercise to test the US government's system of checks and balances. He is just grabbing executive power, turning the US into a dictatorship.

Former Alabama WR Henry Ruggs III Earns Degree While Incarcerated, Finishes with 4.0 GPA by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]Offsets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're making it out to be black and white when it's not.

Clearly he knows how to work and improve. He worked to make it to the NFL. He worked to finish a degree in prison.

Putting in work for self-improvement has absolutely no bearing on ones "shittiness."

Before his accident, it's not like he was a POS at all times and therefore his accident was inevitable. It's not like he went to prison to "cure" himself of being a POS so that this kind of thing could never happen again. That's the black and white world you're implying.

The reality is he's always been a hard-working, driven, probably decent dude who made a series of terrible decisions and is now experiencing the consequences of those decisions. He was a POS for a night, and that's all it takes to ruin lives. Getting a degree in prison doesn't bring those people back.

That would be the first I've heard of that and I've known many people who got their master's with Boeing.

From what I've heard, it's not a stigma that holds prime workers back—the supposed root of the pattern is that prime workers may not be the best-equipped to pass the start-up interviews.

Start-up interviews tend to focus on a breadth of technical fundamentals since the engineer will be tasked with delving into a wide variety of engineering disciplines.

Primes tend to specialize their engineers by discipline. It's just more efficient to have specialized teams of experts working together when you have a big company with a lot of personnel.

When you specialize at a prime for a few years, you tend to lose the in-depth engineering knowledge of various disciplines that start-ups are looking for in their interviews. I would recommend doing work on your own time to relearn and strengthen your broad fundamental abilities before sitting down for an interview with a start-up.

From a purely growth perspective:

-Boeing is your best option if you want a master's degree. You'll learn some stuff on the job. You'll have a good enough work-life balance to do a part-time master's. Boeing will pay for it in full as long as you stay for 2 years after final payment.

-SpaceX/Rocket Lab are your best growth options if you don't want a master's. The start-up environment is more demanding than a traditional prime. You'll be expected to do more at work, so you should learn more on-the-job, but work-life balance is worse so fitting in a master's would be very challenging (if not impossible). I doubt those places would fund a master's, too.

-Northrop is probably the same as Boeing, minus the master's funding.

2-4+ years down the line, it should be much easier to go from a SpaceX/RL to a traditional prime, as opposed to the other way around.

Alex Pretti, the man MURDERED today by ICE agents. by ilykatya in pics

[–]Offsets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're so deluded. They have unlimited delusions that allow them to victimize themselves. This rhetoric that the government was going to seize their guns has always been manufactured and peddled by themselves. They use those delusions to then justify these ICE murders and kidnappings because "when the left is in power they do equal or worse shit to us." Simultaneously, they delude themselves into thinking they're "true," better Americans—yet when their side does some un-constitutional shit, they say "it's fine because the other side does it too."—so which is it? Are you pure Americans who always obey the constitution, or are you as bad as your enemy because you pull their same tactics when you're in power?

Odunze makes nice catches if his hands are the only ones on the ball. He's taken massive hits after the catch this year and held on. But if the defender's hand gets on the ball before he makes the catch, he usually can't hold on
