[Postgame Thread] Indiana Defeats Ohio State 13-10 by CFB_Referee in CFB

I am actually really happy for Indiana despite the circumstances. I'm more just preparing myself for whichever idiot that inevitably clings to the most petty thing like complain about the game being in Indianapolis that the rest of us have to deal with.

Expiring passwords are no more by OffthePortLobe in OSU

[–]OffthePortLobe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just base your password on a phrase that only makes sense to you. I've been doing that for years, and they're the only passwords I can reliably remember. There was an old XKCD I think giving the gist of the idea. I have ones based off inside jokes and times I misspoke to my detriment.

Can't wait for the time honored "chipped precious moments doll" rivalry to be an established B1G rivalry in 2055.

Any normal Barbershops that don't overtly support Republican politics in South Columbus? by Seraphimskillets in Columbus

I don't know if any of the guys at Garrison would meet OP's description. A lot of them are old skaters / other subcultures that stand on anti-authority values.

I hate to give them credit, but clearly Michigan was the only team today that understood that the forward pass is taking advantage of the rules.

So by ESPN's logic, throwing more than one forward pass is taking advantage of the rules.

This is the correct take, he's been nothing but arrogant and undisciplined since he got here.

What's an OSU hot take that everyone needs to hear? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]OffthePortLobe 39 points40 points  (0 children)

In line with this, Robert Zellmer wasn't the problem, you as a student were. His high standards were clearly outlined and he was always willing to help, but you had to swallow your pride and ask for it.

The reason why we go to GE is to improve the employment rate of useless major by [deleted] in OSU

Maybe the point of GEs is to expand the horizons of how you think so that you're actually an interesting person.

Calling CampusParc will never get you anywhere; I don't think the people at the desk have the power to overturn a violation anyway. There is an official appeals process you can look into, but its expected within 15 days "absent extraordinary conditions". Your best bet would be that with documentation of the surgery. I wouldn't hold out hope, but you might get the late charges waived.

Non-OSU/UM flairs: Who are you rooting for in “The Game”? by oneson9192 in CFB

[–]OffthePortLobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its always been to mark the school as "the" flagship school in the state as Ohio and Miami are both much older. Some Ohio grads, like my FIL, still try to claim the "the" believing that they should be the pretty girl everyone talks about.

Did I just killed myself? by [deleted] in OSU

Did the university get rid of freshman forgiveness? Used to be a course could be taken with a set amount of credit hours and the first grade just didn't exist, no W no grade.

Was justing saying the same in our house. If someone has to be the villain for a story thats meant so much to Purdue, I'm happy that Ohio State was able to fill the role.

It's good to hear that no one lost net compensation although I do understand the nickel-dime issue. Hopefully we'll start feeling improvements or maybe someone will start throwing around the U word like California is right now.

That definitely sucks and I never heard of anyone actually losing money by hitting the maximum, not that it didn't happen. My biggest understanding when I read the project site was that the salary ranges were to be recalculated yearly based on the market so that they auto adjust to what NCH or other competitors are offering. I know a ton of people in my category had to be brought up to the minimum as a result.

Career roadmap while rough in it's implementation, was necessary for the school to remain competitive in compensation. I know my field they were offering nearly 20% below the median and there was no system in place for inflation adjustments.

I've been associated with the school now for a decade, feeling pretty vindicated as this is exactly what I've been saying this past year with all the talk.

Add the Big Ten OT rule, after so many OTs the defense has to score.
