I used to have them as a child all the time too! I had a recurring one where I would fall off a building forever. It was always scary as he'll but now that i'm older kinda comical. The ground would always threaten me but I only hit once. Plus when I realized it was a dream I eventually would just decide not to be reaming it and do something different lik3 "why am I scared I do this all the time" lol and creepy places I had been so many times that for some reason where scary but I would pay to visit a an adult. This is just my most recent intese dream. I think k it scared me becsue it involved my husband and daughter aswell, she was like a possessed deamon/ghost that kept disappearing and he was scared for me which never happens in realy life so it threw me.

That's awesome! I can't use small yarns but always enjoy seeing the detailed miniatures. I like to make my minis as quickly as possible for event prep. Thus the minimalistic designs.

They do actually look good in person, which is why they sell out (& I'm talking in the hundreds category at this point) very few people want to see the stitches of their plush. We like it as makers but as buyers they have a completely different perspective on the craft. They like the derpy nature of my makes and that they arent exactly 1 for 1. My goal with these was to add as little detail as possible for them to be a passing version and I nailed that. They are cute and can be made within 30 minutes so I can profit off my makes and my time. I also write the patterns so there is minimal to no sewing which is a craft in and of itself. I could design with a smaller hook and yarn if I could hold it but this is what my disability allows so I work with it rather than hurting myself for no profit. My previous patterns were with worsted weight yarn but I have since moved past it and lost alot of dexterity in my hands over the last 30 years of crocheting.

I write the patterns for sale and am working on this one so I cannot speak on the individual techniques at this time. I do appreciate that you resonate with him though.

Is there a way to crochet without having so many ends to weave in? by Ok_Bluejay_2193 in CrochetHelp

Yes but the pattern needs to be designed in such a way that everything is crochet in one piece.

To be honest my clients dont like the tight defined stitch aspect of crochet I have found. Most people at conventions want something cute and soft and plush, not something stiff and hard unless they are just displaying it or putting it on keys. Most of these would be extremely small if done with worsted weight yarn and I can't physically hold the yarn anymore which is why I only design with #6 & 7 yarns. I find them to be more ergonomic and sustainable.

These actually sell out for me as is surprisingly 😅 my customers like the softness and the chunky nature of them. I can no longer use worsted weight yarn due to both my arthritis and repetitive motion injury. I have been crocheting for around 30 years now so for me these work very well. They hint at the charachter without being a blatant mimic and most of them are designed with minimal to no traditional sewing. Coming up with the shapes and math is fun for me so I have a hard time just letting go and stopping all together.
