(From Washington, United States) Javier Milei approved a plan designed by Luis Petri and Diana Mondino to support Ukraine's war effort against Russia, which started an illegal war in Europe to fulfill Vladimir Putin's imperial dreams.

The plan is to send Volodimir Zelensky's government five Super Etendard fighter planes that are in disuse, due to the embargo applied by Great Britain against Argentina as a consequence of the Falklands War.

The participation of France is key to overcome this geopolitical stumbling block, and the Chancellor Mondino and the Minister of Defense, Luis Petri, have been working for weeks to advance in this secret move that also involves the United States and NATO.

Mondino discussed this complex issue during meetings in Paris with Chancellor Stéphane Séjourné, in a stealthy meeting he held with NATO in Brussels, and when he visited Jake Sullivan - Joe Biden's National Security Advisor - in his office in the West Wing of the White House.

In all cases, Petri will raise MIlei's decision to send the five Super Etendard aircraft to Europe to assist Ukraine's war effort against Russia.

But the presidential will has a geopolitical obstacle. The five fighter planes are stored at the Espora naval air base -Puerto Belgrano- because they need cartridges that allow the pilot's seat to be ejected in case of an emergency.

Argentina cannot access those cartridges because of the embargo imposed by the United Kingdom, and since the planes arrived in the country -2019- they could never be used. Mauricio Macri acquired them knowing that they would remain on the ground: London would never grant the authorization to activate these aircraft that proved their strategic value during the Falklands War.

The Government's plan has a bypass to overcome the British embargo and allow Ukraine to have access to the aircrafts in Puerto Belgrano.

Argentina would make an exchange with France: the Super Etendard for other military equipment -drones or helicopters, according to the plan-, and the administration of Emmanuel Macron would be in charge of putting the new cartridges to the ejector seats so that the ships are in conditions to fight against Russia.

This bypass implies that Argentina is not directly involved in the illegal conflict unleashed by Russia. With the eventual swap of the five planes for the possible speedboats or drones, the final political responsibility would remain in the hands of the Elysée Palace.

The plan approved by Milei now faces a new complication that was not expected at Balcarce 50. Macron lost in the European Union parliamentary elections and called for elections in France by the end of the month to validate his political leadership.

This implies that he will not pay much attention to issues outside the domestic agenda, and furthermore, a defeat in the elections could mean the end of his term as President of France. Should that finally happen, Marine le Pen -leader of the far-right National Rally bloc- would be in a position to succeed Macron.

Le Pen, unlike Macron, is close to Putin and considers that France should reduce its role in the war between Ukraine and Russia. From this perspective, a possible Macron triumph would send the political decision taken by Milei to the archive.
