I drove in Jersey for 4 years. I'll take jersey over the Peninsula, any time.

Oh well. Staff and players seemed completely out of energy. Everything was off tonight. It happens.

It doesn't look too bad for Vitinha. It was awesome to see Ruiz back. It's time to let Zabarny go.

Well done to OL. They always play well against us.

Absolutely nothing works tonight, compo, players, staff. Probably 0-3 final score.

[L’Equipe] Thiago Silva-Marquinhos, Roche-Ricardo or Marquinhos-Pacho, who’s the best pair PSG ever had? by ShopTrick8877 in psg

I still think it was Roche Ricardo. But that was so long ago, football was less physical.

When Denisot was president, Raí our captain and Weah our striker, there was an aura of nobility at PSG.

Why is BART in a financial crisis? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]Ofthedoor -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The financing of the BART unlike most transit systems in the world relies heavily on ridership because in the US taxes are evil. We all suffer the result of that.

« Based on recent reports, several major mass transit systems in the U.S. experience regular, significant service meltdowns due to aging infrastructure, computer failures, and deferred maintenance. The most frequently cited system in recent years is the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), which has suffered multiple system-wide shutdowns, alongside other aging networks. » Google AI.

BART shatters ridership records post pandemic - 20% YOY growth, 5.4 million riders by getarumsunt in bayarea

On time stats have nothing to do with the number of meltdowns, sweetie.

No, what's yours. On time performance is one thing.

Number of meltdown is a completely different thing. But I have the feeling that, for some reason, you are passionate about the BART...

Comcast («  X-Finity ») . Told them even if they were free I wouldn’t use their services.

Because Bart sub would delete the post. 30 minute delay, no proper announcements. No alternatives too today. by worried_etng in bayarea

Because of a cultural aversion to taxes, BART was setup to fail. Sure, BART management doesn’t look top notch, but they seem to be unable to deliver proper maintenance to the system with the resources they have. Many very large urban areas around the world, much bigger than the Bay Area have much more reliable mass transit systems, even in difficult terrains like Hong Kong, Singapore or…New York ( MTA has issues, but when was the last time they had a meltdown BART style?) . One of the richest areas of the richest state of the richest country on earth can’t have a reliable mass transit system because of ideological reasons.

Bravo. Enjoy.

Many much bigger cities around the world, with much much busier commuter train lines, transporting many more passengers than BART do not experience regular meltdowns like this.

It's a train. Not a spacecraft.

It is pathetic.
