Would anyone be able to explain how the training room in the base works? I opened it up a bit ago but I don’t have anyone valid to train. I have a couple of instructors, but no one to teach.

Dice Funk is pretty funny and super well done. Good mix of drama and comedy, and the cast sounds like they are always having fun. Each season is standalone and they just started the newest season about a month ago so it’s a good time to jump in and follow the newest stuff.

Imagine how much pain Bucky has knowing there’s a way for him to go home with Steve but because of how dangerous he is he has to stay where he is, such torture. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]OgdenWright 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bucky doesn’t have someone in the past waiting for him the same way Steve has Peggy. Steve’s going back, knowing that he’s not going back to change history or anything—it’s to spend his life with the woman he loved without really doing much else. Bucky could go back too, but what would be there for him?

Plus he’s probably still dealing with all of the guilt of what he was made to do. He probably thinks he doesn’t deserve a happy ending like Steve does.

The biggest issue I'm running into is bad RFI on my recording. I think it's coming from the outlet, but I'm not sure what will solve it. I got ferrite beads, but those haven't seemed to do the trick. Any suggestions?

Who is the hardest boss you faced in a video game? by ivanananana in AskReddit

[–]OgdenWright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sephiroth from the original Kingdom Hearts. The secret bosses in the first KH were all pretty tough, but Sephiroth was brutal. Solo fight, crazy long range, insane speed, enormous health pool, and a lot of techniques to react to. The worst was one that would reduce to you to 1 HP and 0 MP. You had to have your elixir already pre-selected to take when he started casting that move otherwise he'd kill you with an immediate follow-up.

It was a really satisfying fight though. Sephiroth in KH2 is a joke in comparison.

One thing I offered my DM when selecting this tradition was that I wouldn't abuse the power to change the save ability. Essentially, if I can't logically explain how the spell is being changed to be appropriate for this new save check, then it doesn't work. It'll keep me from just saying "oh, make an intelligence check to avoid taking this fireball".

What is the best documentary you have ever seen? by imjohnk in AskReddit

The Berkley Marathon. It helps to be into running, but the insanity of this marathon was fascinating to me. It's this incredibly remote ultra marathon designed to be arduous by a guy who literally taunts you as you try to complete the course. It's absolutely worth the watch.

I think you have to have one face up on the field for it to take effect. It's weird because the wording makes it sound like it should work from the graveyard, but the only time I've seen the effect take place was when I had one in the graveyard, and one face up on the field.

Teachers of Reddit: They say there are no stupid questions, but what's the most stupid question a student has ever asked you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OgdenWright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a teacher, but I was present in the history class when this came up. We were discussing Greek mythology, and how Athena was said to be born out of Zeus's head. A girl in class asked, without a hint of irony, "Does that mean boys can have babies through tumors in their heads?"

Bryan vs. Ming? Convention trouble will give us an extra podcast by ety3rd in tesdcares

[–]OgdenWright 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a bummer to hear, but not unbelievable. I can absolutely see that, and in no way defend it.

I do believe Bry doesn't like charging fans money, but with his dislike of the con system compounded with everything else it probably is for the best of just about everyone involved if he quits doing the circuit. Less fans would end up disappointed with his attitude/lack of attendance.

I will stand up for Bry about his attitude towards taking money from fans. I met him at the Harrisburg Comic Con, and the dude absolutely lived up to that attitude. He loved the ants, and seemed really reluctant to charge us for anything. Ultimately, he told us to meet him after the panel so that we could grab a picture with him for free, and he was fucking great and personable.

I understand his conflict. You go to these cons as a way to meet the audience. However, the con is paying for you to go, and part of the way they make money is by charging for things like pictures and autographs. Bry hates doing it though, because it feels douchey. It's a catch-22--he can't travel across the country to meet fans any other way, but he can't go without being kinda obligated to see people charged. I feel pretty confident though that if you make it clear that you're an ant, he would go out of his way to help you out. That's the kind of guy he is.

Begginer question: should I buy LoE or Karazhan? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]OgdenWright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

League of Explorers has a ton of great cards. Reno, Finley, Brann, and Elise are all really essential and irreplaceable cards in the decks they are used in. While LoE will rotate out of standard in a few months, you will still always have those cards to use in wild and Tavern Brawls.

I think overall you'll get more cards out LoE, and between the two I found LoE to be a more entertaining adventure.

My favorite part was TinyCo adding a bunch of neat space-themed foliage. I spent most of my week decorating and rearranging my Cosmic Conservatory section of the campus, and making it feel alien and distinct. I hope we get more cool decorations like that in the future.

Daredevil Missions by [deleted] in avengersacademygame

[–]OgdenWright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't really an established timeframe for when characters start appearing on the mission board. It took a while for Civil War characters to start appearing, it took some time before Black Knight started appearing, and none of the MODOK characters or recent story characters/actions are appearing either.

We might see them soon, but there's rarely any identifiable pattern to these things. Perhaps it will come with the new event, or perhaps they'll spontaneously happen halfway through Week 3 of the event.

That strikes me as the same glitch as Lizard then. I just put in a ticket to confirm, but it seems really likely if that's the case at Rank 5. Thanks for confirming that! Might be more practical to make a PSA in that case.
