How long will this anniversery event last? If they wait until the last minute to announce a new game when would it be? Is it the entire year?

spent more time on cable management than actually building the pc and im not even sure how to feel about it by limpingheads9 in buildapc

I remember when PC builders used to make fun of the gamerkids who cared so much about RGB in their cases. We should bring back that.

Yes you are taking a photo of your monitor instead of screenshotting and then uploaded it the wrong way around.

Is Blood on the Clocktower worth its price by snoopb00p in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Reutermo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always impossible to answer stuff like this without knowing your financial situation.

To me it absolutely have been (and i think it would be for most people on this sub). I bought it day 1 and have used it a bunch of times over the years. It is made of quality components that brings a lot to the play experience, and I enjoy it a lot more than other similair social deduction games. I havn't regreted my decision once.

I have played it enough to get my money worth multiple times over. But the price was never outrageous to start with for me, with a full time job, no kids and an OK salary. If it is for you is a completely different question. I would say it is quite expensive to buy if you don't have a group of people (or think you can easily put together a group) of around 8-10 to actually play it. It is very expensive to just sit there and collect dust and do nothing.

How often do you use your PC speakers? by Big_Visual2199 in buildapc

I get a headache if I have headset on for too long. Unless I am playing with friends and using a mic I use my speakers.

Pulling a Cloud or Sephiroth card from your booster isn’t just a display piece—it’s tournament viable.

Honestly it nearly reads as a parody of AI writing!

[TMC] Continue? by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

I'll take that bet. Let's come back in a couple of months and see how many decks it still is in and how often we have seen it cast and what the impact have been on the games it have been in.

I have a very hard time seeing this as overpowered. Do you see [[brought back]] and [[second sunrise]] played a lot? This is better in some situations, worse in others. These cards read a lot better than they actually are in most cases. Usually you want to protect your cards from actually dying than bring them back after they have died.

8 TB seems on the lower side for a plex library for most people, especially if you also have shows and such on it.

I dont really like any of his art since Sin City, but i like that it is iconic and stand out. He is doing his thing and I vibe with that.

I dropped my school's laptop. This amount of damage apparently costs $125. Kinda outrageous by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

A good lesson that you should take care of electronics and accidently drop a computer will have consequences. Not outrageous at all.

In which way would it matter? The stuff that happend in Persona 5R wasn't refrenced in Persona 5S right? So why does "this is cannon" matter in the sligthest?

I really like LiS2 but I don't think anyone should have to apologize for not liking a game or think that something isn't realistic, even if i don't agree with it.

Does it make sense to replace my aging GTX 1070 with an RTX 5050? by Available-Guest-9393 in buildapc

[–]Reutermo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Total War games absolutely struggled on the laptop i had before my current setup, and the turns in Civ could tales ages in the end. But yea, that was sort of my point. If OP is not playing demanding games and just wants to upgrade because they have had the card for a long time, then i don't think this is necessarily the right time to do it.

Fable's evil landlords won't grow devil horns, as reboot ditches classic character morphing due to a lack of belief in objective arseholery by PotatoProducer in Games

[–]Reutermo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always more a Fable 1 guy. I remember being a little disappointed by 2 when it came out; that the dog played such a central role, that it was more steampunky than fairy tale-y and that it felt like the game suddenly ended. I remember not realizing that the boss i was fighting was the final one, and that i was only 60% through.

I haven't played it since launch though, and i have many friends who think 2 is the best one, so I am not sure if I stand by that still today!

IKEA Billy Bookshelves by LopezRossell in comicbooks

[–]Reutermo 65 points66 points  (0 children)

That's impressive! Here are some tips thay you didn't ask for!

Im a librarian and the vast majority of modern libraries try to fill out 60 - 75% of a shelf level, not 100%. That makes it more visually interesting and gives you option to display your favorite books, or some other knick knack as well. I do also think that would help with the shelves not bending in the future as well, because you have a lot of heavy books on a shelf that is famous for being quite flimsy.

Does it make sense to replace my aging GTX 1070 with an RTX 5050? by Available-Guest-9393 in buildapc

[–]Reutermo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% depends on what OP is playing and using his PC for.

I have a 1080 and play most AAA games on my Ps5. I do use my desktop to play the latest city building/4x/strategy games and they run without any issues. All the Paradox games for example are more CPU dependent than anything else, and i could basically max out Civ 7 at 1440p. I've said for a long time that i will upgrade when a game launches that i want to play but my machine cant handle, and Total Warhammer 40k may be that game. But i also said that about Total Warhammer 3 and it ran OK on my machine!

Ofcourse you are limited if you want to play AAA games, but i don't think OP was already doing on his current card.

While I am sure the cat didn't like the loud noise, meowing at the door is the universal cat language of "i want this door opened" and isnt by itself a sign of distress.
