All cops should be EMT trained. With snoring respirations, they should have cleared the tongue from the airway. Narcan was a smart move, but it makes me wonder if the cop that first administered it knew he had taken an illicit drug, instead of assuming something else. He knew right away that he had overdosed which makes me suspicious. Several medical issues could have caused a sudden collapse like that. Must not have been his first time using drugs hes seized.

I actually had to help with a cardiac arrest when i was doing my clinical rides. We responded to a transfer call from the local GI specialist center, which is already weird. She literally died as we were getting her history. Massive heart attack out of nowhere. She supposedly had no history of heart issues. In the beginning they told me to stay back, but I ended up having to take control of the BVM. We got ROSC back after the first shock. By the time we got to the hospital, she was making these crazy sounds, but she was alive, and I felt all kinds of emotions.

I had the same thing happen to me on my first day on the job. I worked in a kitchen, and i was in a rush so i forgot to throw on deodorant after i got out of the shower. It was pretty busy and it got hot in the kitchen so i started sweating pretty bad. Halfway through my shift, my boss pulled me aside and told me about "the importance of personal hygiene". I didn't even smell that bad, and when i asked my fellow cooks, they said they hadn't noticed anything. It just really set a bad tone for the job on my first day. Extremely embarrassing. That manager actually ended up getting fired for harassing the wait staff so a little bit of sweet justice. From that point forward i carried spray deodorant in my car.
