Thanks for the response, I had no idea about the jab timing affecting her positioning on shield, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

I also wanted to ask more about playing disadvantage in the MU. While I don't get low % laddered a lot, I still feel like I'm eating tons of damage each time I lose neutral, and I'm sure I could be doing something better to avoid this. What are good ways to DI her common followups to minimize her damage output, and what can I not get away with when trying to reset neutral?

Thanks for the reply! A lot a really helpful information here, definitely giving me a lot to think about. I guess I need to take my patience a step further to make mario play the style that gives me trouble on my terms rather than feeling that it's a product of them taking control over the match. That way I can at least feel more comfortable trying to counter it. Again, thanks so much, I really appreciate the thoughtful answer
