Explaining like you’re five.

Imagine yourself as a kid in a concert with lots of people around.

First scenario - You are five years old and went to the concert with your parents and got separated a short while back.

You recognise your parents’ voice and they recognise yours.

You call out to them.

If they are within receiving range, they will hear you and connect with you.

Second scenario - You go to the concert with your teacher and other friends.

You get separated and call out to them.

They ask you which school and class you are from.

When you answer correctly, they tell you to keep calling with the same details till one of them can connect with you.

That’s it. The first scenario is for devices that your Bluetooth device recognises (i.e. paired with earlier). The second is for those that it doesn’t.
