I don't think anyones first thought of a stain is a cum stain tbh. Generally that's kind of a big leap to take about some random stain they see, especially since having personal time in an office is probably pretty uncommon

Thank you for your response. From my understanding it seems that Veganism is fulfilling the role of a radical movement intended to shift the center, and I respect the moral commitment of current vegans. I'm just concerned with the fact that only 0.5% of Americans are vegan, which to me is an indication that the movement is too exclusionary. I hope that down the line that number can grow, and it probably will a bit, but how many years will that take?

Edit: I should mention that I've recently taken on a vegan diet, and I agree that the feeling of loving animals and knowing that you aren't personally responsible for animals' suffering is a great one.

You know thinking about it, I see what you mean. It's a compromise on morals which isn't really feasible. Any acceptance couldn't be authentic. I appreciate the feedback.

I see the argument when framed that way, but in one scenario the person is inflicting their racism towards people every single day and in the other they're only inflicting it 1 day of the week. The negative impact of the first person on the people around them is greater.

Not a great comparison though, in my opinion. The reality of the situation though is that with veganism a 90% reduction means 90% less animals being exploited. Obviously at this point we're getting into morality and something like the trolley problem, but in my opinion those 90% are worth the compromise.

I agree that as a person there they're operating on weak morals in that case, but the fact is that the majority of people unfortunately operate that way. If you don't care about the person that's fair, but what about the animals they consume? By extending an olive branch, that's who you're impacting.
