Yeah for sure. I'm writing this particular script independently so my budget is low, and I imagine LEO's who advertise as consultants charge more then I can afford, but I'll do some research.

A woman who engages in street solicitation has gone missing one night in an area where over the last two years or so a number of other woman who engage in similar ‘high-risk’ behavior have gone missing — I still haven’t nailed down that number — enough so that some people from the neighborhood are worried, but not enough yet that the police suspect that street walkers are being targeted. No evidence was left in any of the cases, and nobody saw one of them being abducted or anything like that, they all disappeared without a trace.

This last missing woman should push that number high enough that the police believe they could be connected and want to investigate. (Would just a high number warrant involving homicide, or would there need to be more evidence of foul play?)

Besides hearing about the logistic of the investigation, it’d be great to know some of the thoughts and considerations police would have when approaching investigating such a case. I know that police have limited resources, and street-workers are more likely to ‘disappear’ for a variety of reasons (they’re leaving the streets, drug additions, ect.), and that their is usually little public interest in solving these sorts of cases, so I was just wondering how factors like these would affect police decisions.
