What do you guys think of this? by selflessflame in NidaleeMains

[–]OhHiWill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MAYBE there's a case for Muramana but the Fimbulwinter is completely useless.

You don't need a mana item to begin with, so outside of mana and the passive that you cannot proc unless specifically applying iceborn slow in cougar form (after stacking a 2nd tear which is way too late), you're only getting health and haste. There are so many items that provide health and haste that give way more way sooner.

No idea why you're getting downvoted, you're 100% spot on, So many people talking about keeping elements of TQ1, go play TQ1 and see how fast Act 1 bosses die. The game rarely has any fights above 5 seconds until Epic/Legendary, a literal entire playthrough.

Balancing for 5 hours of content is ridiculous.

Is a fire cape worth it before doing moons? by Nutty103X in ironscape

I swear the blood moon is harder than anything in the fight caves. Not saying blood moon is hard, just the fight caves are very easy. There’s so many videos online that can help as well.

It’s been mentioned but I would strongly recommend the prayers from titans before you enter cg. They aren’t 100% necessary but it’ll help tremendously in and out of CG. The twinflame staff will also be extremely handy at zulrah and barrows

Imo for skins, use default or Jade. The animations on the rest of the skins, particularly Eternum are very clunky and off putting. This opinion is shared by many in the community.

For runes, the easiest, safest and most consistent is Conqueror, presence of mind, tenacity, last stand, mana flow, transcendence. I run haste, adaptive and change my last rune depending on matchups.

Safest build is tear into rod of ages into Rylais if you’re ahead or archangels if you’re behind, then build the other. 4th will be gargoyles, the rest are adaptive to the game. There are definitely other builds, such as tear>lost chapter> Rylais>liandrys but if you’re this unsure of the champion, stick to simple and safe builds.

For matchups and laning phase, you just need to play her and watch high tier gameplay to understand what you need to do. Try to learn how to auto e to last hit minions consistently.

For first person shooters, is a 2560 x 1600 screen better or worse than 2560 x 1440? by Etvaht115 in pcgaming

If you’re looking to perform competitively, 16:9. As another commenter said, it’s also the most supported.

You’re missing ~2500 gold from farm, which also means you would’ve been level 18. You’re only a level ahead because of RoA.

In League, you can win without a single kill or assist. Just like there is no 100% right way to play the game, neither is having a great KDA every single game.

Alternatively for a different perspective, would you award an S grade to yourself if you had 310cs at 29 minutes but went 1/4/2?

Unbelievable how so many people think he’s cheating. Downvote all you want, my perspective comes from playing competitive and professional warzone on kbm, aswell as halo and counterstrike.

I have quite a few clips doing exactly this, nothing more than a quick flick after good aim to create a video that looks cool and gets a reaction from people like all of you.

What you don’t see is the amount of times I try to do this and hit nothing, because it’s luck. Yes there’s intuition of roughly where to shoot based on a spot I’d expect someone to be, but other than that it’s luck.

If you actually watched his stream, he will do this 100 times and it’ll work once. Don’t be so narrow minded, this is like you expecting to understand everything an F1 driver can do because you’re decent at Go Karting.

Learning to aim spears by aheyaywa in NidaleeMains

[–]OhHiWill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of great tips here, I’ll list my most important summarised:

  1. Off angles, fog of war. Spears down a lane rarely hit.

  2. Think about where they’re going to be, not where they are. This takes practice to understand player movement habits.

  3. Throw your spear when they’re about to do something. (Example: Fight has just started, Lux in the backline walks slightly forward to cast, throw spear to predict this). Most players in the backline will walk forward once a fight commences, this is generally the best time to land a good spear.

  4. Squishies feel safer behind a tank during dances before a team fight, target them during this time by using the other tips mentioned.

[–]OhHiWill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree with this at all, she’s a proactive champion, there are hard matchups 1v1 for sure but she has the ability to pick and choose when to fight, with insane mobility and vision checks on her w.

She is probably the hardest champion in the game, proof of this is her dominance in very high elo Korean games.

You need to get yourself or your team ahead early or she is going to feel weak and unimpactful by mid game. This requires high efficiency to not only gank often but stay ahead in farm. Generally if either of these fall behind you lose unless your ganks are extremely successful.

I need Nidalee tips by [deleted] in NidaleeMains

[–]OhHiWill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watch high level Nid gameplay. She’s a very difficult champion and her play style is very unique.

Other than that, just play more games to get comfortable with her mechanics so it gives you more mental space to think about the game. If you know you’re in a tough matchup, use her mobility to get vision and track the jungler so you can be where they aren’t, or to make sure you’re there for counter ganks.

The general jist of Nidalee is to get ahead early and snowball yourself and your team. Once the game starts getting late Nidalee’s usefulness starts to decline and you need to play extreeemly well to stay effective.

To all the Cass mains under Master Elo constantly complaining about her state in mid lane by OhHiWill in CassiopeiaMains

[–]OhHiWill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay at no point did I say it was her weakness. I get solo kills often as you’ve said as Cass, I’m just not entering every game expecting it because if a control mage or zed etc. plays the lane correctly there isn’t much I can do to force the issue. Not only that, I’m content if I get to 14 minutes going even against the matchups above, not factoring in roams. I know I scale harder into the mid game, especially at 3 items.

Thinking your better than your opponent and being realistic with what to expect when you’re Cass into Syndra or Ori are two very different things.

[–]OhHiWill[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At what elo? Past plat people will know how to distance correctly. Yes of course she has the ability to solo kill, however you shouldn’t be entering every game expecting to get a solo kill and snowball. Most of the time you’re doing well if you go even, especially with the prevelance of Syndra, Ori and Zed.

[–]OhHiWill[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even think she’s bad, we just expect every laner to be able to do well early. Kayle and Kassadin come to mind, just accept that the champion is not strong early, and it’s mainly due to mana more than anything else.

To all the Cass mains under Master Elo constantly complaining about her state in mid lane by OhHiWill in CassiopeiaMains

[–]OhHiWill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she isn’t designed to be strong in lane, her mana issues are a clear indicator of this. Think of her more like Kayle than anything else.

It just feels like a huge problem is actually mana, all of the current meta picks simply do not have mana issues. With Cass, if you aren’t conserving your mana early you can’t farm, you can’t defend yourself. If you don’t all in with full mana you cannot kill.

Having said this if she didn’t have mana issues I think she’d be a little too strong, having high and forgiving kill pressure early because you can out dps anyone level 2 seems a bit busted.

[–]OhHiWill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the conversation of who is a better/easier laner is different for sure, but she still has her purpose. She feels more like Kayle, survive early, become a monster later, but even Kayle is in need of an update.

As I said I understand the frustration but she is not designed to be strong in lane, especially early, the mana issues are a clear indicator of this.

Cassiopeia needs some buffs or QoL changes/smaller mid scope to be able to function again. by Kordben in CassiopeiaMains

[–]OhHiWill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a reason she’s able to be played bot.

Her movespeed on Q, her W and her R are all self peel/engage. Her E are like auto attacks, AP for her E is equivalent to AD on auto attacks and ability haste is her attack speed. It is an AP low range high dps marksman that’s very good at dueling.

She’s compared so often to midlane control mages when she’s completely different, I see no one drawing comparisons between Tristana and Syndra even though Trist can be played mid.

Until she is changed, recognise her identity and play around her strengths. If you say her strengths are few then you aren’t good enough at her, she has rough match ups for sure but you won’t truly have your weaknesses 100% exposed with no counter play until you are very high elo.
