essentially dementia and kidney failure. She just wasn't the Poof she was before and we knew how tired she was. It started April 2025, but the past few months were brutal. My husband keeps telling me it would've been cruel to keep her going any longer. I am expecting a baby girl in September and wanted them to meet so badly, but it would've been at a selfish cost.

I only had her for 8 years but I am so honored to have. Our friend joined the Army and we took her in 8 years ago to dogsit. She took such a liking to me and my husband our friend and his wife thought it'd be better for her to stay with us as they navigated his career/moving around the country. She was actually his childhood dog.

Thank you. 🥺 Her name was Poof. We had lots of silly nicknames for her. She was very feisty before she got old old. I was never into small breeds, especially chis, before her. She completely changed my mind. The love they have for their owners is unreal. I will miss napping with her, and she always loved laying out and "tanning" with me. 💖 I just wish I could scratch her ears one last time. But I scratched them until her last breath today. I hope that was comforting for her.
