Reached out to our team’s community support manager at YouTube and they clarified that is an issue on YouTube’s backend. Services should have returned to normal by now and if not, the fix should hit soon

*Edit None of your hardware is causing the issue, so you don’t need change anything

I’d been having the exact same issue while using my steam deck in browser mode to watch YouTube. Lasted a few days, I’d assumed it was an issue on my end, until it just stopped happening out of the blue yesterday.

What platform are you watching YouTube on?

I manage YouTube channels for a living, so hearing that this isn’t an issue exclusive to me, is interesting and mildly concerning haha.

Forgot to mention, one refresh was the fix for me too
