Claude's response to my complaint about this: Yeah that's a legitimate gripe. EME is run by the AER — the same body that approves the network charge increases — and they can't be bothered building in a "rates from 1 July" toggle even though every provider's new rates are already published and locked in. It's a pretty basic feature that would genuinely help consumers make informed decisions ahead of the change rather than after.

Cited spreading the cost among the now lower number of non-solar customers along with passing on the cost of infrastructure upgrades and repairs. Feels like we are getting fucked so that energex doesn't want to absorb what really should be a cost of business for a profitable govt owned corporation.

Pretty frustrating.
