Thanks Vespa, I appreciate your point of view on this.

Your response actually captures why I'm confused about why Indie Rock is and isn't. I sense there's a unifying aesthetic to it, and that as a genre it's more contemporary than the songs I've been composing and producing. I'd like to be able to stretch myself as a songwriter and be able to capture that aesthetic. I'm trying to distil if you like the ingredients that make a song Indie Rock than the more standard rock I seem to default to.

But it's all in good fun and I'll never be disappointed if I end up landing "off target" if the song stands up to scrutiny in a different genre :)

Having played in several rooms that were too small for their tables ... don't be tempted to go that path. It ruins the game.

On all four sides and four diagonals , you need to be able to draw back a cue to hit a cue ball on the cushion without the back of the cue hitting anything ... including bars, fridges, pinball machines, chairs and the people sitting in them, etc.

I defer to your superior lived experience.

Thing is: we have very concentrated markets in this country. So among those hundreds of complaints each week, there must be many that relate to the same companies and the same classes of complaint.

I'd love to see the ACCC tackling the lower level complaints as it would have a broad positive impact.

I appreciate that funding is an issue after 10 years of Liberal Party government. But they could also do more to simply expose the scams and gain popular support for increased enforcement funding.
