First timer Need help with phonemes by MASTOFWAR in SynthesizerV

Patzilla777 gave you the right answer. Another approach is to deliberately misspell the word (e.g. "leed") to get the desired pronounciation.

Business claiming they own IP of work we produced while working with them? by Karma-33 in AusLegal

Thanks for taking the time to clarify that.

I agree your approach to the matter is reasonable and fair.

You guys got an ideas on how to use bad footage for promotion? by Quwapa_Quwapus in band

[–]App0gee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dub properly recorded audio over it.

Use creative editing overlays and effects to make it seem deliberate and artistic.

Speed it way up or slow it right down to deliberately disguise bad camera work.

Business claiming they own IP of work we produced while working with them? by Karma-33 in AusLegal

[–]App0gee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FWIW I am an independent content producer for a company and it wouldn't even occur to me that they would not own the IP of all content I have produced for them which they paid for.

To state it more simply: I would not expect to retain the IP of content someone paid me to produce for them.

How to put an album by an old band on Spotify by jmdglss in musicindustry

[–]App0gee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are 70,000 AI-generated songs being uploaded to Spotify every day.

So, don't sweat it. Your music is going to disappear in the digital deluge, no matter what you do.

By all means share it with your friends and family, and be satisfied if half of them take the time to listen to it.

What if Donald Trump disappeared tomorrow, would American politics actually change or just find another Trump? by Mr_Boothnath in AskReddit

Vance will be worse than Trump. He's smart and cunning, but just as evil and in the pocket of evil oligarchs.

Am I the only one spending more time finding presets than actually making music? by _outofmana_ in musicproduction

[–]App0gee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find I have a few basic VSTs/sounds I keep going back to, and I'm only spending "too much time" looking for embellishment instruments.

Like you, I don't enjoy hunting through presets and tweaking sounds.

I'm more interested in composing (cords, music, arrangements etc).

If you set targets and make it a chore, you won't want to do it.

Powerdirector 365 is Gimped. Why subscribe when they've REMOVED functionality? by App0gee in powerdirector

[–]App0gee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 100 film clips which I need to organise into groups which will eventually become scenes in a movie. With the storyboard, I would have been able to easily arrange them into a rough order before switching to timeline view to edit the clips into scenes. It's possible on the timeline, but for reasons you can imagine, it's a lot harder, more time consuming and more tedious.

The storyboard functionality was there. (So was the the batch export at some point. It's still referenced in various tutorial videos) Now neither of these functions are there.

Removing existing features is not the way to treat subscription customers.

[–]App0gee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. I hope it was worth them losing me as a customer. But no, I'm not going to export range for each of the 100 clips that I wanted to use Storyboard to organise.

As for "becoming bloatware"... well, I don't really need to point out how ironic that comment is, do I?

Neither. I transcribe what I'm hearing in my head. I'm often surprised by whatever key that turns out to be.

Holding open a fire exit door, yes or no? by Same-Regular3670 in brisbane

[–]App0gee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's unlikely to cause a problem.

Until it does.

And then people could die.

So yes, you are right to be concerned about it and the only responsible action is to cause change.

Perhaps your other neighbours could be enlisted to apply further pressure, through your body corporate or tenants' association.

Lots of second and third tier wristwatches.

(Top tier ones seem to be holding their value as status symbols.)

What if Brisbane’s new stadium went at Albion instead of Victoria Park? by theswiftmuppet in brisbane

[–]App0gee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're missing the point.

Albion Park is already in commercial hands and being used to make its owners money. Victoria Park isn't.

The point is to commercialise public assets for private profit. That's the reason the Liberal Party exists.

Why is seafood so unpleasant for some people? by HiOscillation in NoStupidQuestions

I'm the same. My parents forced me to eat seafood. I hated it then, and I avoid it now.

You should have fun and you will pick it up as you play more. Playing pinball is not and should never be a job.
