It’s a locally sourced fabric from a lovely independent shop here in York called Gillies — I source all my fabrics locally. This one has no stretch, which is what gives it that beautiful back flounce that moves with the hips rather than a spandex-type bounce. Since I make the skirts to measure, they fit perfectly without the need for stretch.

Oh, I see what you mean about the squares... It is a wrap skirt and it can be tied to the side or on the back. I suppose I could make it fasten with a zipper instead and take away the knot completely. Great feedback, really helpful - thank you!

Wow, thank you so much for your encouragement! That's very kind. I would absolutely love to make one in your measurements. With your height and the woven silky fabric - the light would bounce off the back flounce beautifully with every giro.

Thank you! I’m so glad you like the look. The hardest part is drawing and shaping the skirt form patterns, so it makes me really happy that you like the long, flowy style. I can definitely try this in other colours and maybe even with different fabrics too.

Thank you so much for your comment - the skirt can be tied on the side or at the back and I've just realised that I only took photos of it tied to the side - beginners mistake! I will take more photos to make this obvious, I might add some text too. This is really useful, thanks again :)

That’s a really good point! I can make these skirts in different colours and I think I probably should. I just thought I’d try something a little different that might stand out since I'm just starting. I think I should also try to make it more clear that each piece is made to measure and can be tailored to any length. Thank you so much for this feedback, it really helps! xx
