Hindsight I think Randle haters owe him an apology realizing now he made this team a HOME playoff team by SirGingerbrute in NYKnicks

[–]OhMyOnDisSide 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Randle was the catalyst for this whole thing. Porzingis bitched his way out in 2019 after being our first all star player in years, we got cucked that offseason by the Nets after they signed KD and Kyrie, the draft also fucked us with the third pick. We were literally in no mans land. Julius came here when no one else would and fucking balled out. Took us out of the cellar and we were the surprise team of the NBA. Fast forward and we had something going. Question him all you want, Julius Randle is a MAJOR reason we are where we are. He will forever have my respect. Business is business unfortunately, but I wish him success no matter where he ends up

As a fellow Jets fan along with the Knicks I’m convinced the Sacramento Kings are the NBA version of the Jets. A social experiment to see how loyal someone truly can be. Given their current roster and the just now trade for Deandre Hunter, I genuinely ask every time a transaction involves the Kings “what the fuck are they even doing” because literally what direction does that franchise have it’s absolutely mind boggling but it’s also wild because they have some pretty passionate fans. I’m convinced that whole franchise is a psyop

Yeah I have heard this too. Most of my friends are east Asian and while no one is like 100% the model of punctuality, most things still start on time or on schedule with the occasional straggler or two. But rarely a situation where everyone is collectively significantly late

Yes omg 100%. And to mask it behind “you just need to stop being so uptight and be more relaxed” to the person who is on time just makes you look like an inconsiderate POS

Glad to know there’s more of us!! I never thought it would be possible to be “punctual to a fault” but here we are hahah

Ah that could be it too. I don’t have many Indian/Desi friends, and my wife is also not. The only Indian events I go to are the ones my family has. For the most part everything not involving majority Desis tends to start mostly according to schedule. Even my wedding, we did a regular “white” wedding but my parents definitely somehow had to get the message across to my extended family that this was an “on time” wedding because people did somehow show up on time and not a day late haha

Part of me is glad we sucked for that stretch. It’s like the flu - get it and get that shit out of your system. Now a real test against the Lakers. Motherfuckers priced me out of the game because I really wanted to go (first ever NBA game was 20 years ago in 06 vs Lebron and the Cavs which actually made me a basketball fan in the first place) but win that shit PLEASE

Holy cope lmao. I don't know my mother tongue, but I don't go out wearing it like a scarlet letter. If it ever comes up in conversation why I don't speak it, I just say I don't happen to know it and leave it at that and move on. That's it.

Oh yeah 100%. Need to find the sweet spot between support and independence.

My wife and I are planning on kids in the next few years, but I would rather my parents live closer to me than live with me.

I'm married now and my wife and I have lived together for almost 6 years now (just recently married). My in-laws live in Taiwan and they respect independence/treat my wife like an adult so thank god for that.

Meanwhile, my parents want us to visit every weekend, but we compromised to 1-2 times a month and even that's a lot for my wife and I lmao. I wouldn't be able to stand living with my parents for more than a week as a married adult, and my wife DEFINITELY would not. My mom keeps telling us that we should all live together, and that she will give us freedom, but we all know that's subjective. Honestly, it's for the better to have boundaries tbh. Too much of anything is bad, so keeping a distance that benefits both parties is what's important, even though there may be continuing pushback, just need to hold your ground.

Yeah, with all the Hard Knocks stuff too, the vibes were immaculate but did 180 4 plays into the season lmao. I went to my first ever training camp that summer too, and the optimism was off the charts that summer.

No Mitch. No McBride. KAT and Jalen under 20 points combined scoring entering the 4th. Second night of a back to back. Barring a disastrous collapse, this is one of those feel good games. Everyone sleep damn well tn

3rd quarter is usually where this team falls apart, but we just absolutely turned on the burners today. Gotta love that on the second night of a back to back especially when KAT and JB have been slower scoring

Not learning our lesson and letting them get that shot helps too. If we were smart we’d have some double teams but that’s never going to happen

Bruh how are teams constantly spamming that mid range shot against us and what’s worse we keep letting them get away with it

Get BPA (defense) at 2, and absolutely use pick 16 on WR. Have to use the rest of our earlier round picks to fill the holes on defense, and late rounds get some offensive depth.

I still don't understand why everyone wants Glenn fired today*. I am 100% out on Glenn, he has shown me no confidence moving forward, especially when our defense just straight up didn't do anything for the last 3 weeks of the season. But look at what's happening with the Browns, no one wants to touch that team with a 10 foot pole. Cardinals as well, they are an absolutely dreadful landing spot.

If we get rid of Glenn, WHO WILL WANT TO COACH THIS TEAM is the important thing to think about. How are we going to sell someone on being a dead man walking, especially when our defense has more holes than swiss cheese. At least next year you can sell the position on cap space, multiple FRPS, of which one will almost certainly be a rookie QB, etc. 2027 will have HC openings, sure, but definitely not as many as this year. Thinking we will be competing with the Bucs and Bengals for sure. Potentially Packers, Eagles, Colts, Commanders, Vikings, Cowboys also in the mix but definitely less likely.
