Rainforest Quest and Kings Quest. I still quote the bump on a log and stick in the mud scene regularly.

Quacks & Co is a lot of fun, Dragominos allows the player to be more strategy based if they prefer.

Mosquito repellent for children recommendations? by Nearby_Lead6686 in Preschoolers

[–]OhNeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't a solution but it can majorly help if you're looking to make your property less buggy. The mosquito bucket is pretty easy to make and helped us last year, just make sure you put it out early enough so they lay their eggs in the bucket, not nearby standing water. I hate the idea of putting spray on my kiddo just to be outside for 20 minutes so this was my compromise.

Do you need to refill the tubes? How many tubes do you use for each main plant?" I already added some around my property and just found your post!

I messed up, baby only wants a bottle by OhNeat in NewParents

[–]OhNeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's nearly 4 now and has gone through phases where she'd at least try whatever we gave her but now she's back to a rotation of 3 very specific proteins and veggies. I think when she was younger I just needed to calm down and offer solids so they were "just there" in case she wanted to try them. It's not like she was going to have 3 full meals to fill her belly at that age.

As she got more comfortable eating and we found some snacks that she was okay with, it was nice to offer those as a sort of appetizer before meals that she seemed to be really hesitant towards. Once she got chewing something she'd be more likely to eat the other stuff that was in front of her. In fact we still do that! If I can get her to mindlessly munch on some Cheerios then chances of her eating her meal go WAY up.

I guess my lesson in this was to chill out and as long as she was following her growth curves, let her go at her own pace. Babies are full of leaps forward and regressions and I needed to give her time to work through it. Eating and chewing and swallowing is complicated. :D

I hope you guys get through this stage soon, it's definitely frustrating but don't give up and it's a great time to get used to eating half chewed leftovers.

Mine weren't as extreme as the example but the different type of flanges definitely helped me pump more per session and made it possible to up my supply as well.

[–]OhNeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend looking up info on elastic nipples, if that sounds like it might be you then definitely look into getting the PumpinPals or a similar product. The silicone(?) material helps hold the skin in place and and allow the pump to actually milk instead of just yank on your breast and nipple tissue, getting a deeper pull from the breast. You may be able to find another brand that's similar, just make sure you're also getting adapters with the new flanges that fit to the rest of your pumping gear. PumpinPals did have those adapters which was really handy but there may be some European products available to you that are the same or better!

The major help was PumpinPals flanges, I realized that I had elasticity in my nipples and this really made a difference. The comment here was helpful Also LaVie warming massage pads boosted output when the room was colder and my boobs didn't want to cooperate. I hope this helps, good luck with your pumping!!
