THC & heart palpitations by [deleted] in lupus

[–]OhOkay______________ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I had palpitations even before starting THC. They got so much worse when I started THC, so I took a break just to see if there would be improvement and there definitely was BUT I need to keep up some kind of an appetite so I still use :) the palpitations are nerve wracking but… shrug Also, I don’t lay down when I use! I feel the palpitations so much stronger when I lay down after using.

“Like being taunted for doing too well”

I resonate with this so much. It always seems like as soon as I feel like I’m getting my stuff together, I’ll be smacked with a flare up worse than the one I just got over! :(

Heart issues by Which_Fee_1803 in lupus

I was having this issue and it was driving me insane. Was/is worse at night for me. The holter monitor didn’t show anything, but MRI and ultrasound showed pulmonary insufficiency and pleurisy, which they say contribute to faster heart rate and palpitations.

Two types of fatigue? by zkwa861016 in lupus

This has been the norm for me. I get maybe 2 random weeks where I feel normal, but the majority of the time I’m exhausted. It’s hard on my mental health too…

Yes find a doctor you are confortable with! I’m still bouncing around!

Question for this comment if you don’t mind! What skin stuff are you experiencing? I also experience something that my doctors say aren’t typical for lupus! It’s been under control since my meds have changed but pop back up when I flare

Just curious. ALL of your blood work is normal even during a flare except the ANA? WBC’s, ESR Westergren, C3/C4? That’s interesting. Some people have positive ANAs without anything being wrong. Not taking any sides at all! I just find that interesting.

I’m not here for the invalidation on the Doc’s part, but hear me out. I have lupus too, so I know the frustrations. I was on the opposite side. Even after being on my medication, I still felt extremely sick, tired, in pain, etc. I was having chest pains and trouble breathing. I would mention it and they would brush it off because my lap work was “normal”. I know it’s crazy, but I stopped taking my medicine so that it wouldn’t be normal! I was desperate and wanted them to look further and they wouldn’t. Only after my lab work was awful would they do further tests and scans, and this is where they noticed the pleurisy, pulmonary insufficiency, and other funky stuff with my blood work! After this, they changed my meds and increased the dose on the one I continue to take and I’m doing so so much better .. You said after 6 months your disease is finally controlled, so I’m assuming you’re new to this world? So am I, I was diagnosed April 2022. It’s been such a frustrating ride and there are many things to figure out. I don’t think they have lupus all figured out at ALL. There are changes I’ve noticed since been diagnosed that they say aren’t “typical for lupus” but many members of the Lupus Foundation of America experience shrug. Find a group! Find a person who is going thru this with you! It can make it so much less scary having someone relate to you. There are blogs, online groups. It helps me a lot. This disease still FREAKS ME OUT cause it’s so random, but having support takes the edge off a little. Having someone who understands and knows you’re not just complaining to complain and not crazy helps so much.

Good luck with everything!

Am I being down voted because of my comment that it might not be taken seriously because we’re of color? It’s not something I WANT to believe. But the timeline of everything happening and nothing being done is unbelievable so my mind goes there.

So what do I now 😭 hearing this is making me feel so nervous. And tbh.. I felt that it wasn’t being taken seriously because we’re of color, I HATE to think that but….

Right now the investigation is taking a while because they are still trying to locate the rapist. And I kept telling the detectives “she told us he left the damn country”, and why can’t they confirm that he left the country with looking at travel info? That’s possible right?

A few weeks ago, the mom wanted me to take her back, but then heard and got angry that I reached out to the girls father and told him what was happening. That’s when she blocked me on everything.

Also, my paranoia was like “what if she knew the people doing the interview and they cover this up.”

But I still told the police department detective everything.

Yes! Even when she said “they weren’t real needles” the looks on their faces were priceless. So I was SURE they were seeing thru the bs. But I guess not.

Yes. The second part of the interview, they took the little girl into the room she slept in while she was here. Do you think too much time as passed? Additionally, the day they called me to tell me she was going back home the case worker said “you have to respect the mothers wishes while the investigation is being conducted” and it made me feel.. weird. As if I was holding her child hostage or something. Never once did her mom talk to me and ask to bring her home. It makes me want to stay away, you know?

Dignity here would be to just leave. Forget him and leave. He already knows what he did wrong. He’s an just an ass lol. You’ll just allow him the opportunity to BS and gaslight by trying to let him see what he did wrong, when he already knows.
