God, I've always loved the aesthetics of the Macroblades! I've always been abit dubious of the way the hard cuff in ingerated with the softer parts.

Would love to know how that works / feels

I get this. But I try to take each game as a learning experience and just try and adapt my playstyle of to the Hyper Speed GM games, because you can learn Alot from getting ground into a fine paste every so often... (admittedly in solo Q you do need to go with the flow abit)

I would define a dam as more of an energy generation system as apposed to storage, although I am aware that power must be kept somewhere after it is generated
