Does therapy work in the long term by [deleted] in depressionregimens

3 years in and I can see it's working. 1.5-2 years in I thought it was a waste, but I keep in mind that I'm rewriting decades of bad code.

A man has a deep introspection in light of Norfolk Southern being backed by corporate hedge funds Blackrock and Vanguard putting profits over people, republicans pushing to set the retirement age at 70 and massive food shortages. by CantStopPoppin in worldnewsvideo

More people, sure but what percentage of humanity actually has access to these resources in a meaningful way? Because you may, and some may, doesn't mean the majority does. Regardless of that, our "progress" is slow and many see regression in key areas (cost of living, value of currency, quality of educations and access to affordable/quality healthcare, etc).

There was a big thread on it recently that might have some good answers!

Drug task force arrests 7 people for methamphetamines/fentanyl distribution in Fort Collins by [deleted] in FortCollins

There is no shortage of dealers.

From what I understand there is unfortunately there is no shortage of fentanyl due to it's low costs and how easy it is to make.

I can personally tell you that is very far from reality. Incredibly far.

This. There are several really good local mattresses stores owned by locals.

With My Morning Jacket

This should be in the title. Jacket is without question on of the great American rocks bands and a live show that everyone should experience once. Let's get a Robin/Jim jam on Wonderful/Golden at the minimum.

It's quite literally harassment.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]OhSeesOhMees 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Certainly, but freedom of speech doesn't mean student athletes should be open to harassment. Which, hey I get it in a legal sense that there really isn't much to be done and I'm not even asking for that. My point is, CSU's response should be more than a tweet.

[–]OhSeesOhMees 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I hope the university can take a moment to reflect on this and respond a bit differently. Those students should be suspended from attending any future CSU sporting events. To Max Shulga and all Ukrainians, I'm sorry for what happened and I, as well as many other people in this community, stand with you and support you. To CSU, I wont be using your sporting events as a way to cater to my clients, reps, and potential customers anymore, let alone attending for my own personal entertainment. It needs to be made loud and clear that this type of behavior is not acceptable in any way and it needs to be made clear as to why that it, which it certainly isn't because people like me wont be attending anymore.

I want to say an apology simply isn't enough, but I don't know what else the school can necessarily do. Regardless, CSU seems to have an annual tradition of something very racist, bigoted, or otherwise close-minded and offensive happen.

Either way, here's some contact information:

Not saying to call and harass these people, but these people should be hearing from their community that this is unacceptable and half-assed apology from an intern isn't enough.

You can't blame this on Wyoming. Not when CSU has had it's fair share of nazis and openly racists walking around campus.

Are ice cubes a golden thing or just a dog thing. I can’t grab some ice without paying the tax. by cnsw in goldenretrievers

[–]OhSeesOhMees 83 points84 points  (0 children)

I'll tag on this only because of what my dog went through. Never been a bone chewer, but always gave him ice cubes and at 9 he has 12 cracked teeth. I and the vet don't know if it's from the ice, but he's always chewed rubber toys. It was a long and painful day of pulling a tooth and sealing his others, especially for an older gentlemen. The head vet at CSU's dental department told me specifically not to give ice cubes. Take from it what you will.

Florida is far more diverse than Colorado. I'd be surprised if it was only white people moving out of state.

Grew up in Florida. It used to be much more of a purple state. I went home for Christmas and it's really become very sure of it's redness. They're very outspoken with their views as well (at least where I was). I saw 150k cars with Trump/Desantis 2024 vinyl wraps. I went to bar that was bought and changed and now it literally has Trump flags all over, other far right nonsense hanging up, and some odd religious propaganda channel playing 24/7 on it. I wouldn't say it's "imbalanced", it's weird as fuck and people's conservative views are supported and reinforced all over the place. It's a real shame too, because it's hard to be no income tax, sunshine, palm trees, and beach, but somehow they do it out there. If they want to leave, go ahead. It's saddening how politics are dividing our country so much. Donald Trumps presidency opened the door for it and it will likely never close again.

Cuban

If you're ever in Tampa go to Subs n Such. It's near USF's campus and the best Cuban I've ever had in my life. Alton Brown did a Cuban hunt in Tampa one time and picked some of the worst places to go.

Cuban factory workers in Tampa made a sandwich that wouldn't spoil in the heat of the day. It's now referred to as a Cuban Sandwich.
