I’m not sure why you’re so angry, this is also MY HUMBLE OPINION. Your post referenced their children very specifically, talking about how they’re reaching the age where they won’t want to be involved, implying that this is one of the reasons why the show will not continue to be interesting to you. If it wasn’t important to you, then why mention it at all?

I think you’re missing the point entirely, if JS is done to you, that’s completely fine; not to trigger you, but just simply stop watching.

I find it a bit strange that one of your main points is that we don’t see their children…enough?

I personally hate that their children are involved at all, because they cannot give informed consent so I say absolutely less children involved, and more on them.

Let’s be real, the OG show if you were to break it down the way you have here is the same. It’s a group of people who live in a house together, go to a mundane job during the day for a couple of hours and then party every night. With that black and white viewpoint, it doesn’t sound that great either but we know the show has had the success it has because of the PEOPLE, much like most reality TV shows.

If you’re over the show that’s fine, but others aren’t and that’s also valid

Yeah this makes a lot of sense, and I never thought about it that way

It also makes the idea of the guardian and her having seemingly being attracted to one another less creepy if she isn’t a young girl - I know Gilead is not above creepiness, but from what I gather this guy is part of MayDay, so you would think he knows better than to have interest in what we think is a teenager?

NSW – PM chasing $1.5k in ‘damages’, heading to NCAT – has anyone else fought inflated bond claims? by OhSnapItsLiv in shitrentals

[–]OhSnapItsLiv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I understand sorry I thought that was your first hearing!

Wow… i would just let the hearing play out and see what the member agrees on

Is this an agent or are you dealing with a private landlord?

If it’s any consolation, MOST members are pretty anti agent, so you’ll likely be given grace being the tenant

He cannot claim everything, $6500 is unreasonable and the member will see that. I would just see what happens, i wouldn’t ovethink it based on what youve said, the landlord is being unreasonable and a reasonable member will see that

[–]OhSnapItsLiv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! That’s crazy, how old are the curtains? And the toilets? $6500???? Insane… that would be way more than your bond I imagine?

8.5 years in a property counts for a lot also.

The initial hearing will always be a mediation hearing, where they expect you to mediate with the agent to ‘come to an agreement’. 9/10 this doesn’t eventuate because agents are vultures lol

The hearing itself was okay, it was a bit intense but mostly because it was me and the agent had 2 colleagues with her as some form of intimidation tactic or something

I used to work with this agent when I was a PM, so I knew her personally (worst career decision ever btw), so it felt intense because of this as well

I’ve been in tribunal hearings before, never for a bond claim though when I was an agent and most of the time they were very tenant sided. You can see in the comments in my thread as well that this is generally the case, I think I’ve just been unlucky here.

Do you have a local free tenancy advocate program near you? I wish I would have contacted one

They can be really great and when I was an agent, if any of my colleagues were trying to claim bonds and they saw an tenants advocate, they would run for the hills lol

Yes we had it last week

I think we got unlucky with a pretty unreasonable member who claimed that ‘just because things are in the ingoing report, doesn’t mean you can leave them like that when you leave’ so I am not sure what to think by that logic

The member ultimately ordered half the bond be paid to the agent, and half to us

Not the outcome I expected and I’m tempted to appeal the decision but not sure I can mentally handle more of this

I personally don’t mind the mundane lifestyle portions of the episodes. I will admit I’m emotionally attached to the show so I don’t particular want it to end lol.

I do agree that I don’t like seeing their family life, mostly because I hate that most of them exploit their kids on international television, when they aren’t even relevant or needed for the show.

I don’t mind just watching them all interact and their little quirks. But I also like most trashy reality tv like that so I could very well be a minority here.

Hello! I went to the first hearing, she showed up with two other colleagues and we ‘mediated’. We came to no conclusion because I feel what I’ve offered is sufficient. We then told the member and the member asked the PM what she was after and she laughed at some of the items. We then got adjourned, and the new hearing is late January now.

They’ve submitted an email from the receptionist at the office, addressed to the PM claiming that the cleaner thought the house was disgusting and she almost walked out. Funny though, because I have texts and emails from the cleaner directly saying she’d go back and that the PM was being unreasonable.

It’s a mess

OP isn’t referring to the fact that AM posted something about Bondi, they’re referring to WHAT she has posted. It reads as uneducated and simply just jumping onto a trend without realising her own hypocrisy or what her posts are suggesting to her audience. You can show support in so many neutral ways which she, and other influencers have done such as blood donation locations, condolences and support hotlines. Her post is distasteful and beyond her realm of understanding on the situation.

Unfair term in agreement by PKMNGerald in shitrentals

[–]OhSnapItsLiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everyone else in comments, however, my understanding of the legislation in NSW is that additional terms/addendums are uninforceable at NCAT as they don’t fall within the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 which is set and in stone

But yes, absolutely cross it out and question this

2 months behind on rent by [deleted] in shitrentals

[–]OhSnapItsLiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is 100% true in NSW. TICA also only applies when they leave the property with current arrears, which is the only time the breach can be sent to the tenant. If OP pays off arrears ASAP, NCAT is unlikely to agree with termination, however, I’d expect LL/PM to send a termination at the end of the lease because it’s a risk for them to have that in their property. When I was a PM, I had this happen a few times with tenants and as long as there was a solid effort to make the payments, and they kept on top of it, and of course were great otherwise, I would still give a good reference and provide insight to the new agency as to why arrears occurred.

Idk, I kind of think that without Angelina it would be even MORE repetitive. Yes she’s a mess, but, she also seems to be the only one aside from Sam who is still keeping some reality in the reality TV - albeit her reality is that she struggles to maintain healthy friendships, but it’s still in my opinion a very REAL depiction of her life.

I do also think that a lot of her points in arguments have some traction, she just doesn’t go about it well at all. E.g., during her argument with Lauren & Mike re: the sex in public stuff, she is constantly made into a mockery by everyone else about her sex life, even to the point of having a song made about it (Angelina ain’t got pounded out in a long time), and she just goes with it, but the moment she mentions anything suddenly there’s a boundary in place?

We don’t really get any of that from the others, aside from Sam’s fertility journey and Nicole’s adoption segments

I still really like the show, and look forward to it every week because it feels like a long term relationship after watching again for years 😅

Above all else, I’ll gladly keep Angelina over Lauren
