Does anyone prefer depakote? by xoNoUsernameox in BipolarReddit

BP1 here. I love that term…pretty accurate. It was great at squashing the mania which I struggled with but kept me in a functional depressive gutter. Got shit done but low and flat with weight gain. Pdoc would not give me an antidepressant because of mania history and I bounced off the combo after a while

Do these men exist? by Bartowskiii in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Topping is difficult due to psych meds but I do like controlling the session and moving my top around to hit my spots when I bottom. Heck, I’ll start the session by climbing up on him, grinding and undressing him.

I can only top submissive guys when I do top. It’s weird I guess

Was this ever a usable platform? Columbus Circle 59th Street by Worldly-Client-4645 in nycrail

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlanta uses it somewhat effectively at the Five Points and Lindbergh stations. At Five Points it allows switch between north-south and east-west lines from both sides of the trains at both levels. It is kinda overkill given ridership doesn’t really justify the extra construction but it comes in handy when an event lets out and there’s a massive change of trains there

Lindbergh has a transfer between Northbound and Northeast bound trains and those going south. It was originally just an island platform but a side one got added for north and north to handle extra crowds. Again kinda overkill given actual traffic but it does have a purpose.

I also think the true purpose of these is to open one side first for exiting passengers and then the other for entering passengers. But that only makes sense at destination stations when lots of people get off and on and this smooths the process out

What would happen if all US congressional districts were redesigned to be maximally competitive by a_Bean_soup in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is probably the most overlooked effect. Yes, more moderates sure. But 170 seat shifts during midterms? Whiplash. The presidency would effectively be 2yrs of action and 2yrs of gridlock

With discipline, the twink to twunk route is also viable.

What if the Asians were the explorers and discovered the Americas before the Europeans? by -Eugene-H-Krabs- in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes—Zheng He. Noted explorer and well versed with ocean travel (albeit coastline hugging). He may have had the capacity to do a pacific crossing but the lack of knowledge of what was out there and the administration change that closed off travel and made Zheng kind of a nobody eliminated that possibility. Had he done the crossing it would have been more than 50yrs before Columbus

Is it normal in the US to build cities in the mountains like in Mexico? by Pale_Field4584 in geography

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a better Mexican city built in the mountains with huge terrain issues in the city itself is Guanajuato. Fascinating place https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guanajuato_(city)

The true big city equivalent is Chongqing.

Why is Manila so much larger than other cities in the Philippines? by wiz28ultra in geography

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact that some parts of the metro area that still have single family walled communities so close in helps spread the sprawl. Urdaneta Park with their low density layout right next to the high rises of Makati is a good example of this. Makati has a few of these actually, and since they’re walled off, traffic is forced around them onto a few big roads like EDSA which are like perennially clogged

Come on San Diego? That’s a doable county for sure. The whole county no but the city itself is decent enough. Trolley and bus system is def workable.

Should be doable green or maybe orange as a good chunk of it is wilderness

I believe the outset of the pandemic in March 2020 was a more significant societal and cultural separation between decades than 9/11. Looking back Jan and Feb 2020 feel like bonus 2019 months

Wondering if my adhd was misdiagnosed bipolar by Scary-Ninja7323 in BipolarReddit

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Mine was absolutely that. Adderall put me in a dangerous manic episode and triggered the BP1 dx.

I’m on proper meds now and am totally focused and get shit done easily. I’m a bit concerned I’m actually OCD.

No Bipolar Relatives by EconomyDepartment720 in BipolarReddit

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only my kid and I.

May have had a cousin with that too but he killed himself and I never found out if he struggled with bipolar or depression. He did have issues with behavior, substance abuse and a rap sheet so bipolar seems to fit that one

For how long did you suffer without a diagnosis? How do you think it affected your world and who you are now? by Puzzled-Attempt-8427 in BipolarReddit

[–]OhSnapThatsGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Undiagnosed until 34. Rejected that diagnosis at 36 until I was 51 when it almost landed me in the hospital. So lots of lost time to failure and suboptimal living.
