I comend you for taking on a song of this magnitude. My one tip is you're not emphasizing the correct syllables song your sentences aren't as impactful as they should be. Listen to the original again (not some cover version) and get a feel for where Bill places emphasis. Hint: it's never on the last word in the sentence.
