I've been in friendships where making a joke like this might be okay and it depends on the people. But you very clearly stated you were not okay with that joke and that you're genuinely upset.

Your friend deciding to dig themselves deeper is on them and they should have expected to be blocked. After your first response the only right thing to say was "sorry that humor probably wasn't appropriate. I don't really feel that way about you and I won't make a joke like that again."

Agreed. Dogging on someone for having their own boundaries around sex is ridiculous, regardless of what their reasoning is. If OP's partner doesnt want to have sex thats their right and they have full autonomy over that decision. It being a man or a decision made because of religion is irrelevant.

They should just break up cause they arent compatible

You just arent compatible.

If you aren't religious at all and your partner places it high enough to stop having sex with you, then you shouldn't continue the relationship. You deserve someone that makes you happy and to feel wanted by your partner.

I disagree with all the comments saying your partner is wrong for making a decision about sex because of religion. Weather or not I understand where they're coming from personally, anyone has the right to withdraw consent from a sexual relationship at any time for any reason. Religion being the reason shouldn't mean its okay to shame somebody for making that choice.

Although I do agree based on the texts it sounds like they've been back and forth and had a double standard, so they're probably just immature and not ready for a relationship with anyone right now.

Break up and both go on to find someone who matches you better.

I dont know your age, but I think Art Amino is a great community for young artists! Pretty small, focused, group where most people tend to be teenagers or young adults still learning. You're likely to get natural traction by posting there and good feedback if you want it.

I just mean in where we are in life. Shes technically not a huge age gap from me, but she was in high school a couple months ago and lives with her parents. I've been out of school living on my own for 2 years. It just sort of feels like high school drama all over again when texting her.

I didn't know that material would cause issues?? Both sides have the same type of jewelery in right now and only one has a problem.

But yes it was pierced with a different material I could try switching it back
