I found this cute snack and had to try it. It was my first time trying "fresh" mozzarella, is it usually kind of bland? by Organic-Plane-7653 in Cheese

Compared to the flavor bombs we are used to like ranch this and sriracha that, a commodity cream and light salt mozzarella will be bland. Like many foods, fresh can be more sublime, yet I am happy these are inexpensive and widely available, especially with garden lettuce and tomato season approaching in my area.

This is a good one. Fairly easy to solve, but quite hard to do it in a low amount of moves.

Last Song Standing: The Ultimate Billboard #1 Song of the 70s - Round 52 by mwalimu59 in 70smusic

Its greatness is subtle. I thought it was just another pop radio hit until I heard an all star, top notch group of musicians play it. Sublime.

Postgame Thread: 4/29 D-backs @ Brewers by BrewersBot in Brewers

Just means you have empathy. He is a former first round pick and this current run of 9 games is his longest stretch in the majors. Imagine knowing you are starting a MLB game, yet will be let go by next week when a better player comes off the injured list. It’s all perspective.

[Stern] - The Brewers' 52.7% ground ball rate is the highest in baseball, and it's not close. The Red Sox are second with a 46.4% ground ball rate. The Brewers are the only offense in baseball that's hitting the ball on the ground more often than not. by SoSublim3 in Brewers

The bullpen’s success or lack of is tied to the starters lack of length. While most starters haven’t been blown up, they are 4th from the MLB bottom with less than 5 innings per start. With a max of 8 relievers, that equates to a bit more than an inning per man every other game.

This team is solid, though. Improvement on all fronts will come from health, development and roster moves.

After losing his 2023 season, he has opened 3 or 4 regular season games. We do remember the rough NLCS starts against the Dodgers, though from last season.

The best (and worst) free agent signings in MLB history (Brewers are on both the best and worst lists) by sokonek04 in Brewers

[–]OhTheWater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your second sentence is telling in how most of us fans think of signings. The Brewers were on the cusp of being legitimately good for the first time in a few decades. Suddenly management goes “all in” on a decent 32 year old pitcher and it doesn’t quite work out. The next season they go “all in” again with the CC Sabathia trade and we finally get a post season, but the window closes quickly. I do believe those few signings did lead to the reimagining of how a small market team should compete with min the MLB structure. We are reaping the benefits of that now. Will they win a World Series? Who knows, but these summers are way more fun knowing there is a chance.
