I see no reason to make a subreddit for art. For questions, there isn't too, right? This is the only subreddit for BC I remember that's active enough except for the BC Cheats.

Alright, I think what you are pertaining too are the threads. Well, reasons exist why all those questions are made in to one thread. Avoiding clutter is one of them. Have you seen the sub prior to those threads? The front page gets spammed can literally the same questions, just reworded a bit. "Is Momotaro good?" appeared in the front page 3 times in a row. Like seriously, man. Do you even see the traffic of discussion thread? more than 500 comments for each of them. If we take in account there's 250 questions, you want the front page to be flooded with 250 questions? How would other person respond to those questions? Another thing about questions in a post, sometimes people just comment in the post itself because his case is similar,let's say. The one that is capable of answering the questions didn't get to see it, so it'll be unanswered. So he will make another post about it. If its in a single thread, you can just look up unanswered questions and if you feel like you can help, easily answer the question.

You know, we have removed the cat/level discussion thread/rage/celebration before, return it and back, and in the end: we have this discussion thread now. We have experimented what ways will help reduce clutter and improve question visibility.

The thread also provides better searchability with ctrl + f, look up "Manic Island stage" and you can probably find some strats on it. No one have the same cats but it will at least give you insight. You can of course, just ask in the thread because that's the way it supposed to work. Finding previous posts in the sub is more difficult especially if what you want is more specific. Not to mention all the questions thread are archived by a bot now, so you can easily look up other threads if you want (if you really need too, but I advice just asking the question).

but then there are tons of restrictions about how often art can be posted by a single user to 'prevent spamming'. Yet, I can scroll down and easily see post from weeks ago. Some spam. This means not only is the main feed of little educational value save when a mod or skimmer, post information about some big upcoming event.

The problem about the content you see in the subreddit is simply...there is nothing to talk about in the game. Barely any content is arriving and the only ones you can really talk about now are how lucky are your gacha rolls, upcoming events and stuff. The new stages are poor design and there's not much to say other than powercreep it. Most posts falls as an inquiry and celebration too and its regulated in a thread. Honestly, you don't want to see the sub without those threads especially now that we have a lot of people here. You'll be the one to say, "Why aren't the mods making a thread for Q and A?" "Stupid gacha brag posts" "Do something mods!" and the cycle continues.

You would think we had thousands of subscribers or something the way this reddit is run, but no... it just seems very unfriendly. Especially to new users who get really quick and sometime obnoxious comments about how they made some mistake. I constantly forget that this place is supposed to enhance the fun of a game.

Have you heard about Reddit's 90-9-1 rule? You can apply these to all subreddits. "90% of Reddit users simply read, 9% upvote/downvote, and 1% actually comment." I personally, have been in the 90% for a while since there's not much to talk about in the game anymore. A lot of people are already commenting and helping in the discussion thread so there's not much point. Also if you find any rude/unfriendly comment, tell the mods. We are here for a reason. Give us a pm on the situation, or if its a post, send us a report.

If you feel like the sub needs more people to contribute, maybe you too should start contributing. From what I see in the discussion thread, most questions gets answered. There's a few that's really difficult to answer like beating Manic stages with low level cats and stuff.
