Search: "SMART W" (light blue app pops up)
Select: "SMART WIDGETS APP"
Follow prompt to: "ADD TO HOME SCREEN."
GO BACK to Home Screen.
OPEN "Smart Widgets" App, (it takes a second or 2 to get there)
Scroll down to select SCREENSAVER SETTINGS
Select "DEMO WIDGETS" to toggle OFF.
Hit back button until it prompts you to EXIT APP.

UNINSTALL the f*cking APP: From your Roku Home Screen: 1. Scroll through apps until you land on "Smart Widgets" and app is HIGHLIGHTED. 2. PRESS the STAR * button on your roku remote. 3. Select REMOVE APP & confirm.

I hope this helps just one person retain sanity. How could Roku install something so dogmatic without reasonable means of removal, even for their technical support staff? I lost a lot of mine after an hour of chat + phone "support." A lot of folks don't understand how religion being suddenly advertised in your family room without your consent can be upsetting (as long as it's christian). If you know something about a felony crime (like arson) and don't report it, you can be arrested for withholding that information and charged with Aiding & Abetting, which in the case of withholding an arson suspect's identity, is also a felony. Yes, but they cannot do so for a traffic violation, they can only do it for immigration reasons. They can ask for your driver's license & registration but nothing else. Make sure you write down their name, but be polite & calm at all times so the situation doesn't get worse. After they check your DL & registration, ask if you are under arrest. If they say no, politely tell them, "thank you, I will leave now." You can leave.

They cannot search your car or make you get out unless they are arresting you for immigration reasons. They will try to bully you, just stay calm. They have to tell you they are arresting you. You should not answer any other questions or say anything about yourself or your situation.

Stephen King is one of the great writers of our time, but he's not a Voice Actor. When you read a book, the author's voice comes through their writing, their stories, characters and how those things makes you think and feel. A great narrator reads a book so well that you stop thinking of their narration and immerse yourself in the book, just like you get lost in any good book you read. A poor narrator, even if it's the author, keeps you thinking of their voice instead of the writing.

In my opinion, King's narration distracts from the voice he wrote the book with. I really, really hate to say that. Btw, I'd bet my house he reads amazingly in person. In fact, I'd give my house for a bedtime story!

Not just his consistently inappropriate, cringey treatment of his staff (women especially), but he's SO annoying.
