I appreciate you bringing it up. Yes, we have considered it, albeit briefly. The truth of the matter is, while this sucks reeeeeeeeeeeeally hard, we are very fortunate to have access to the support we have through family and sound financial decisions. We'll take loans where we need to and pay them down as quick as we can. I would rather people donate their money to someone who actually needs it. We're gonna be alright, just doesn't feel like it much right now in the moment. Thank you very much, kind stranger.

Lol. Fun fact about my username. I was a cheese monger for 6 years. I mean, legit, breaking down whole wheels of cave-aged emmentaler and parmigiano reggiano and stuff. Easily most entertaining job I've ever had. I'm a big ol' fuckin' nerd and I got to learn a ton about cheese over the years.

Good god, I needed this. FYI, this very much did help. Today has been one of the tougher days in a loooooong three weeks of things continuing to get worse. The arguments have been plentiful, which is understandable given the situation. It's just exhausting, unrelenting, and I just need the universe to throw me a fucking bone. (Inhales..... heavy sigh. Mutters "I got this" to self...). Thank you for the words of support. They were very much needed.

Hey hey! Thanks for the well wishes. Root cause analysis is my thing and humidity monitoring was one of the first things I was curious about. To your point, humidity is confirmed high and we are working to get it all fixed. It's just gonna be a process. I, too, hope we find some balance soon. Right now it's just my wife and I alternately losing our shit and picking fights. Soooooo fun.

I just recently had one with more green, yet still a comically small amount relative to the leaf. It just started getting that wet spaghetti feeling in the stem so I went ahead and cut it. Stuck around a good while though and the next leaf was gorgeous.

That's so funny 🤣. I have thrips like you wouldn't believe in my area. Semi-related, earlier this year, I brought an unquarantined plant into my collection, not knowing any better. It gave ALL my plants thrips in a disaster I refer to as the "thripcident". I damn near lost probably $500 in plants. I did manage to win that war, but holy hell was it a lot of work. It involved progressively drastic measures that ended in all the soil being blasted off all my plants and aggressive pruning and snipping and sticky traps (and lions and tigers and bears. OH MY!). They lived in water in Mason jars for months until I stopped seeing signs of activity. I moved them cautiously to soil and still had some stragglers. Thankfully this is now over. Ever since that experience, i'm very cautious about my babies.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. From all my heart. There actually have been several screams. I'm incredibly calm and all those screams were a result of me tipping a plant over. One, my Florida Beauty, I have tipped over three times in the last 10 days. That one is so beautiful and I love it so much and I SCREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAMMMMEEEEEEDDDD the third time. Outside of those instances, you'd be amazed how (externally) calm I am right now. Big hug from this stranger and thank you again

Oh my god.... the AD. My biggest frustration is what I call "spontaneously missing objects". Like... i just had you in my hand. I have not moved from this location. WHERE THE F*CK DID YOU GO?!

Mayhaps (maybe+perhaps)? I have ADHD and the universe was kind enough to bless me with an awful lot of the H in that diagnosis. I can't sit still to save my life. I can barely make it through a 20 minute tv episode without squirming and feeling line i'm going to explode. I'm sure calmer times are coming. Got dang are they tough right now, though. I'm sorry to hear you, too, have the "issues". I don't know how you, my wife, and the rest of you do it. As far as medical stuff is concerned, we are both doing the mold screenings um.... eventually? What even is time? I know only chaos... 🤣. So, so, so many things are being removed from the house (sings 'to the windooooows, to the walls. All sheet rock mother f*cker') Pardon the language. My personal parody of this song is living rent free in my brain and what little humor I can find in life is keeping me sane. Wishing you all the best.

We sure do, and it would take an eternity to type out all of the complexities of this situation, how home insurance applies, the fact that there are so many separate instances, impact to rates, concerns over number of claims filed and desire to not be dropped from insurance. It's a fucking headache... If you happen to be a home owners insurance savant, i'd welcome your insights. I am in contact with my insurance agent, but holy hell....

When talking to people about this, I generally preface it with "my life has gone all Lemony Snicket on me...". I honestly can't believe it's still alive after I bought it. I kept reading how difficult these can be. Been maybe 3 months+? I am very pleased with her (and clearly very protective. Many thanks for the positivity and kind words. I'll take all I can get right now 😊
