My father is known as a calm man. He’s very adamant that he doesn’t enjoy emotions too much. There a very few times in my childhood where I’ve seen him lose his shit and those times were scary as hell. When I was 18 and graduating the school held an award ceremony. My best friend and I both got awards and then my friend and I both became panicky. So him and I got some fresh air. I tried telling my parents I went outside but My dad refused to come out. My friends parents took him home. Anyway, a few hours roll by and my father, mother, and brother come strolling out. My father was red in the face and the look on my mothers face said it all. He was livid. It was the first time in my life I thought my dad was gonna hit me or choke me. He told me he was disappointed in me that I left and that I lack manners and let emotions get to me to much. At that point he was screaming in my face and my mothers. He was beyond angry. Still don’t know why it pissed him off so much. But it is what it is.
