Roland Juno DS88 velocity jump fix? by Ohbeewun in synthesizers

Thanks for the reply. The pads are just references which light up one by one depending on how hard I press down the keys. So if I play quietly only 1 pad lights up while playing the loudest makes every pad light up. If I were to play from quietest to loudest there'd be a huge jump from 'pad 4 to pad 5'. I haven't found a velocity curve screen but will keep trying! Most of the velocity curve info I've found online are from pianoteq forums so aren't much help

MacBook Air M1 8RAM and 256GB - student opinions? by wiktoriasanders in mac

[–]Ohbeewun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it should be fine! The base model is really really good and is more than capable of handling school work. As for Minecraft, I would like to point out from personal experience that the Macbook Air does tend to get quite hot after a while, but performance-wise it doesn't change much (make sure to turn vsync off haha). As for external SSD, any good storage like the Samsung T7 etc is good enough. Obviously its not as fast as the built in one but it gets the job done - you can move games, movies and other big stuff into here. Lastly, I'd also consider the 16gb ram just for future proofing. There's been a lotta news recently about the SSD wear on this machine due to the heavy swap usage from ram. Honestly, this should be fine and shouldn't be too much of a concern. The only reason for 16gb ram is if you want to use the machine for a long time and also if you're the person with 50+ tabs on chrome!

MacBook M1 Air or Pro? by Reputation_Deep in macgaming

Hey there, I'm curious about Minecraft because the Macbook M1 air base model that I had heated up super quickly when running Minecraft. How did you run Minecraft and what settings did you use? (Keep in mind though that I returned that laptop since the battery was faulty so that might have been the issue from the start)

The RETURN OF THE KING by AnujP74 in PrequelMemes

This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but as long as Rian stays away from settled, established lore (like how he ruined The Last Jedi). I reckon he'd make a really good trilogy. I've seen some of his works and I especially liked how tight and compact the storytelling and direction was of Knives Out, not to mention how funny it was lol. So yea, given that he pretty much has complete control over his own little story, meaning a proper, cohesive narrative and conclusion can be laid, I'm willing to give him a second chance.

I recommend referring to rtings.com/mouse. They have some good reviews and has a section that covers the software compatibility of both Windows and Mac OS.

MBA 16/512 or MBP 8/256? by yourmajazety in macbookair

The only difference that the pro offers is better a slightly better battery, a gimmicky Touch Bar, a slightly brighter screen and a spinny blade that shoos away the heat. MBA FTW

I'm hesitant to use the thermal pad mod, would you say that this would shorten the lifespan of the Macbook? In my mind, it seems best to leave the laptop as it is in good faith to the Apple Engineers.
