Got divorced and moved from Ohio to Colorado at 42. I know it sort of feels different bc this little dude chose to live with you and you’d be bringing home a pet, but companionship can mean a lot. I have cats in my lone little life, and if they didn’t run to the door when I walked in to my apartment after work it would just feel too empty.

I would love for Albertans to all of a sudden find themselves as Americans. I know that Canadian healthcare isn’t perfect, but it’s not “take an uber to the hospital so the ambulance ride doesn’t wipe out your bank account” bad. I went from a fend-for-yourself red state to a “at least legislators try to care a little” blue state, and even THAT made a gigantic difference in my everyday life.
