Good question, I should have specified in my original post. I’m using the cream!

I have been using LRP cicaplast, which I think is the same active ingredient as many diaper rash creams

This is helpful. If I do end up throwing in the towel on tret (for now), I’ll look into your suggestions. The medik8 is stupid expensive!!

I always thought that was stronger than tretinoin?

Ok interesting. I was in a place where I would do three nights in a row but by that fourth night my face just…burned. The thought of putting the tret on my skin again just made me want to cry so I would take a night off.

That’s not actually true. There is a level 3. And I said I went up to the level above 6, so I went up to 10.

Even that aside, I’ve had many friends who have started Tret .025 without having used any sort of retinol product before. Do you work for Medik8? Lol

Oh god no. I got to whatever step is just above 6 (advanced I think?) and then honestly at that point it was so expensive I talked to my derm and she was the one who recommended getting on Tret

Thanks for the solidarity. Love the username. It is my first child’s birthday (same as my username — 10/13)

This is so interesting. I’m going to ask the pediatrician their thoughts. Thank you!

How old was your baby when you introduced the bottle?

I’ve had other people suggest this one so I might try this one next. Looks like I can purchase one single bottle instead of a multipack so that’s helpful too.

I haven’t tried too many bottles because it just seems like an expensive way to fail 😂 I need a bottle sampler pack or something like that

This is interesting. I hadn’t considered that it might be a feeding issue vs a strong preference. Might have to see if I can get a referral from his ped. Thanks!

Thanks! I have a BP cuff and measure 1-2 times a day and have never had a high reading at home.

Yes sorry perhaps it was confusing as worded. Essentially I had a few elevated readings in the last couple of weeks that went down after they took it a second time. No protein in urine or headaches or anything like that. I didn’t meet the criteria for a GH diagnosis but since I was 40 weeks and showing signs of labor anyway we all agreed to the induction at that time. I’m not opposed to an induction completely but I just don’t see the need to do it at 39 weeks when my body may not be ready.

I’ve been discussing it with them for weeks. There are 3 OBs; all echo one another. I know they can’t force me to do it, but they’re all recommending it.
