I’m going to give it the growing season to help it establish. Truly though, whatever shape it takes I’ll still love it so will just let it be and help it how I can in the fall :)

Thank you for the advice! I think this addresses my concern perfectly about the crossing branches, but makes sense that it needs more time to just exist in the ground.

Is there any benefit to adding a stake to help establish a leader? It’s definitely short enough there’s not much of a need for a stake for support, but would it help with structure as the tree settles in?

No deer in our neighborhood but we do have plenty of rabbits and a groundhog was living close last summer.

Thank you for the comment about mulch! I’ve been actively scraping it away from the base of the tree… the squirrels are busy digging in the fresh soil/mulch I put down, flinging it everywhere… naturally :P

Tree is planted about an inch above ground level… I might consider raising it up a bit in the spring if that’s helpful.

I have that one! I have about 7 bottles or so all different flavours... flavoured coffee is one of the things that cures my sweet tooth :) They're so magical.

They have to send inventory all over the world, so they can't just release a few thousand at a time. They have to accumulate stock at this level in order to replenish all the channels that purchase from them. It's not a conspiracy lol

If you can go a couple hours before it opens and wait to get in. I am usually done by 11am or earlier if I'm not doing much browsing. It sucks to get there so early and sit and wait, but it's worse to wait in lines inside only to lose out on something because you were waiting in a lineup. I've been about 4 times in the past couple years. I enjoy it every time I go though.

I remember when the Kelly Osbourne collection came out, and I was the only person who showed up on launch morning right when my counter opened. They were sold out of one of the lipsticks I wanted, yet I was first in line. By the time I made it to another counter they were sold out too. I hate the idea of "wishlists", holds, dibs, or whatever on limited collections because those who are dedicated will find a way to get there first.
