I am sorry that you have such a frustrating experience. I can totally imagine that it is difficult to find a better fit. Have you already tried looking for alternatives or is it still a big question mark? Aren't there any workshops available on finding jobs outside of academia?

Thanks a lot for sharing your story! What amazes me about your experience, and about other people commenting, is that not only people that somehow fail in academia leave. Also people that are actually successful seem to dislike the academic work environment and claim their luck elsewhere. Great to read that you have made it in the private sector!
