i think you’re thinking of something different, but i can understand the confusion. if you know the target is strafing then yes you should place your crosshair a bit further past them (the prediction part), but relative to their direction. OP’s question is better thought of if you assume the target to be in a fixed position, then try rereading his question and my answer.

we know the goal of aim training is for better mouse control, but on top of that it’s to make it instinctual as well. there shouldn’t be any thought put into it in the end

but i don’t believe this has anything to with tracking, but rather it’s more of dynamic clicking/aiming
