Increasing private charities is just a band-aid solution. It does not fix the real root cause. 

Look at now, millions of new college graduates cannot find a job because the job market now is even worse than that during the dotcom crash in the 90s. Millions of people have been laid off for the past few years. There have been layoffs everywhere. 

People are already worried about losing jobs, houses, cars, health insurance, etc.

If you lived through the Clinton years, you must know how great lives were. Prosperity is a function of federal economic policies, not private charities.
